Why not go to Burton?

The end of regulation play that was drew up had great anticipation with Georges isolating in the low post, but no angle for a pass from Monte. I've always been an advocate for going to the guy least expected so the opposing team is caught off guard. Why not run it through Burton, the dude is a freight train with the ball. Although, he can get wild sometimes. But cmon, everyone in the gym knew that either Georges or Monte was getting the inbounds and was going to the other or running an iso for themselves. Easy to guard.

Why not go with Stu? That would have caught Tech by surprise

So don't go with what could be 2 NBA players?
If he goes to Burton and he misses people would ask WTF was he thinking.

Thinking its a no win situation.

Niang, I love him to death, but he's not going to be an NBA player. Great 4-year college guy and All-American, but no. Morris has a better shot at the NBA, but he's been off at times in the clutch this season. No big deal, it happens, but I'd like to see more passing to get an open look when we are running out the clock for the last shot.

Am I wrong, or was Burton the one who pushed the ball and missed an over the shoulder no look shot at a key moment in the game?

Yes, but he did waaaayyy more good in this game than bad. Put in pre-suspension McKay in his place and we probably lose by 5+ in regulation. Burton made the post catches and finishes nearly every time. The dude is good.

I agree with this. Burton and Niang should be miss match nightmares together but we don't use them this way, just Niang. Draw something up for either at the end.
