Seemingly never ending Iowa MBB thread (still going.....)

When I started this thread I never thought Iowa could hang around the Top 5

They play another injury-plagued team in Illinois

They've played Mich st, Purdue, Marquette, Wichita St when those teams were without starters. Now those teams are much healthier than before and winning-- propping up Iowa's BPI. This MBB team is identical to their FB season .. Fake ID of college basketball.

Iowa's remaining schedule is garbage

Is there a worse Point guard/Center combination for a top-5 team, than Iowa? Ever? Lol

I dunno, honestly I think Iowa is better right now because they are working harder and playing together better.

I'm starting to think Iowa is going to end up the number 1 overall seed in the tournament. I just don't see any more than 1 remaining loss if that.

Would love to see Iowa play our schedule. Instead, they beat up on the penn state and Illinois dumpy big ten. They have what, 3 wins over ranked teams. They are a fluke.

They already played the toughest games on the schedule @Iowa State, @Mich State and @Maryland. Definitely do not see Iowa losing until the big ten tournament, they are the best team in the conference by at least 2 games.

At Indiana and Michigan are probably a coin flip but other than that I think they can run thru thee rest of their games.

Actually Iowa has 5 wins over ranked teams - more than any team in the nation. All four losses are to ranked teams and played either on the road or a neutral setting.

They also have not played against good teams back to back all season.

Iowa setting up to be the first 1 seed to lose to a 16 seed.

Michigan state without Denzel Valentine isn't a ranked team.

If my team was maybe number one on Monday, I wold come out of the woodwork.With their derpth and couple players stepping up their game lately, they could be national champs. They have the pieces to beat anyone.

Iowa beat them by more when they had Valentine at MSU.
Iowa beat WSU by 20+ so Van Fleet wouldn't have mattered.
Iowa beat Purdue away with their full roster.
Iowa beat Marquette by 20+ and up by 30+ on the road and they had their best players. Not sure who was missing, but it wasn't either of their best players and couldn't account for the compete dismantling that took place.

You should know better than to bring objectivity and an unbiased opinion to this thread.

You have some points, but why is Marquette listed?

Iowa still has two loses in them, IMO. This week at Indiana, and they will split @Michigan and @OSU. They still will win the Big 10, but will get bounced by MSU in the semi-finals. Probably still a number 1 seed in the tourney, but will be the lowest 1.

I'm not sure, someone listed them as a team we played and collected a win over when they were missing a player. Even though it wouldn't have been a key player and we won by 28. Some pretty bad arguments being made by some bitter ISU fans regarding Iowa's surprising basketball success this year.
