Dewshine

Let's be real though, if we had to lose a few kids the ones that would knowingly drink racing fuel are probably not terrible candidates.

It reminds me of the kids from Georgia, I think, who were goofing around, pushing each other off of a dock, while riding in a shopping cart. One kid decided to tie himself to the cart, so they could retrieve it easier. On the next go round, when it sunk to the bottom of the lake, it dragged him down too, and he drowned. Sad? Sure. But, he was kind of asking for it.

Morons.

I have at least 2 55 gallon barrels of racing fuel in my shop at all times and never once have I thought "hmm maybe I'll mix this with Mountain Dew".

Plus at $8.50/gallon I am not wasting it.

This, LOL.

Mixing crazy drinks with booze/energy drinks/caffeine pills/heck even pain meds I can at least somewhat understand where the logic comes from. But racing fuel?

These guys should have skipped the racing fuel and gone straight to meth.

Cheaper than alcohol... maybe they're on to something.

Why is the soft drink a focus of the article? Is the writer as stupid as the kids? It almost gives the impression that you can drink racing fuel, but just don't drink it with "Dewshine."

It's probably something in the Dew that reacts with the otherwise completely safe to ingest racing fuel.

The logic is pretty easy - the two probably learned in science class that methanol is alcohol, looked at one another, and said "WE GETTIN' DRUNK, *****ES!!!" Them being 16, purchasing methanol is probably very easy, whereas purchasing alcohol is nearly impossible. Of course, they probably weren't paying attention when someone/something tried telling them that methanol will kill you. Quite honestly, I imagine it went down like virtually any scene from "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood".
