Obviously, since I didn't mention Aaron Donald or Ndamukong Suh. There's been surprisingly a lot of defensive tackle talent in Ames compared to the rest of the roster when you think about it. Ahtyba Rubin too, although not in that time frame.

Irving was better at DE. McDonough was good but I would take Tucker.

I think Tucker. He was a game changer on a line that was really up in the air going into the season. Our overall defense wasn't great, but it would have been much worse without him.

Irving had physical gifts, but nowhere near the actual football talent that Tucker has. We were always waiting for Irving to figure it out.

I'd take Tucker in a heartbeat.

Tucker, because his presence automatically makes everyone else better. I haven't looked at his numbers compared to others, but it seems like he's almost always double teamed otherwise he's getting to the ball.
