Boykin Arrested

How Iowa players done make more headlines like this.... Wait...

How the hell did he get to a bar on the riverwalk in the first place? Shouldn't they have been on lock-down?

What a dummy.

If there's one thing NFL teams won't stand for it's guys who get in trouble with the law.

From my experience at Bowls we were allowed to be out until 2 nights prior to the game. For example the 2000 Insight Bowl we had a curfew of 2 AM until 2 nights before the game then we weren't allowed out of the hotel resort after 11. We would practice, come back to the resort hang out in the pool and then go out to clubs in Scottsdale or Mill Street at night. Heck the Bowl even provided shuttle vans and drivers to take us wherever we wanted. I do know that year Oregon State was playing in the Fiesta Bowl and they had a curfew of 4 AM from talking to a couple of their players at a club.

what an idiot. If he gets suspended for the bowl game, i bet this guys still has some eligibility left

Not sure about striking cops, he probably should have went with striking his girlfriend and he'd have been OK.

NFL is a joke, if you are good enough, you'll play. His problem would come from being questionable with NFL ability and the NFL using him as the example of how they won't put up with law breakers.

Wow, talk about stupid. In your room at midnight and you go back out after curfew and do something like this. Way to let your team down.

College quarterbacks in Texas can't be expected to follow rules meant for lesser people. Just look at Johnny Manziel.

Hitting one police officer is a mistake. Hitting several more? That is someone who thinks they're above the law.
If he hits the one guy with an errant punch and is swarmed by other officers and lashes out hitting others that's all it'd take, could all be the consequence of 1 mistake. He was clearly not in a state to make sound decisions.
