Who do you have for both offensive and defensive?

For Offense, it's close, but I think it's Winston. Cooper is probably number 2, and Gurley is 3rd because Cooper has been good all year long, whereas Gurley has kind of been up and down. Winston wins it, I think, though. He's been better than I expected, completing nearly 60% of his passes, for 3500 yards, 20 TDs and 12 picks. He's also added 5 scores on the ground. That's a very good stat line for a rookie QB.

On D, it's Marcus Peters. He doesn't play like a rookie. Stepped right in and was effective from day 1. Very impressive. There are a few others who have played well, but none come close to Peters.

I'd throw Stefonn Diggs into the discussion for Offensive ROTY. Mariota has had a fine year but has missed games and his team has only won 3 games. I think that Gurley or Cooper will get the award.

For Defensive ROTY it will be Marcus Peters or Ronald Darby. Would not argue if either were selected but think I favor Peters.

Agreed. I think it's his to lose. Cooper or Gurley would have to go nuts these last two weeks. There are a lot of people who don't like Winston due to incidents in his pre-NFL career, but if they're giving it to the best rookie, it's probably him.

How about Clinton, Iowa's very own David Johnson (UNI)? He's only scored 12 TDs this season (7 rushing, 4 receiving & 1 KO Return.)

Love Winston. Been a leader on the field, and has had 0 off the field issues. Give him an OLine and he'll have a fantastic offense with Martin, Sims, Jackson, Evans, etc.

Johnson's done great in the last two weeks, but other than that, he really hasn't been a major factor on the team. He doesn't have enough stats. For example, week one, I think he only touched the ball one time, but that one touch was a screen that he took for a long TD. So, he's got some numbers, but his overall impact on games hasn't been as much as someone like Gurley or Winston. That said, if he goes out these last two weeks and posts similar numbers to last Sunday, it will be hard to keep him out of the conversation.

I think it's Winston for Offensive ROY. He had the benefit of a strong running game and a pretty good defense but they've asked a lot of him and he's shown some real promise. Gurley had a nice stretch but he's been victimized by poor QB play.

On defense, I'd go with Leonard Williams for the Jets. The numbers aren't overwhelming but he's been a key piece to a really good front seven for the Jets.

Disagree on TB's defense. They give up some really big plays and Gerald McCoy appears to be nonexistent at times. While the run blocking by the OL has been good for Martin/Sims, the pass blocking has been absolutely terrible.

no. and historically, they've done a pretty good job of giving it to the right guys, regardless of the success of the team they play on.
