Zeb Noland signs with ISU

I heard from a reliable source that Belichick begged the kid to skip college altogether and come to NE.

I have a reliable source that confirms this kid was offered by Bama on Saturday.

No kidding? What exactly did your wife's second cousin's step-brother's best friend's mistress tell you exactly? I'm waiting with baited breath.

Help me understand how we're able to sign a 2016 kid now and don't have to wait until Feburary, like we do with the rest of the 2016 H.S. kids.

Iowa State signs three-star QB Zeb Noland. Welcome to #CyclONEnation, @zebnoland8! http://www.cyclones.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=10700&ATCLID=210594097 …

Brandon usually brings pretty solid info to the table.

You're selling Brandon short. According to Rivals this kid was offered by Appalachian St., Colorado St., Florida International, Middle Tennessee St., Richmond, Toledo, and the Cyclones. If Brandon has info that Alabama decided to keep company with this murderer's row, he's an absolute legend.

Honestly why do you even care?

Stop it. Every recruit is analyzed by all you armchair / sofa coaches. You know so much, just show us by coaching yourself, but please, stop criticizing EVERY damn recruit either directly or with sarcasm. Some people on this board are actually happy to hear information and support our team

I say the same thing to Iowa fans who do the same thing, mostly with our basketball recruits. Stupid is stupid. It has no allegiance to colors or logos. But it still needs to be called out. C'mon man. This recruit may turn out to be a great get. Plenty of high profile recruits end up bust, plenty of 2 star guys turn out to be studs. But if you really think he had a 'Bama offer, considering the level of other offers he had, and he turned that down, being from Georgia, to play in Ames, you're kidding yourself. Be real.

perspective:

2 star QB with no other P5 offers, that we stole from Appalachain State? Lets hold off on giving him the Hiesman.

More perspective (from Alex Halstead tweet)

National rank of recent Iowa State QB signees: Zeb Noland (48), Joel Lanning (65), Grant Rohach (73), Sam Richardson (136), Dom DeLira (NR).

Once again, why does it matter if a few people believe that he did have a bama offer? You don't know for certain. I don't know for certain.

Like you said, it really doesn't matter. His worth is going to be determined on the field in a couple years.

I'm pretty skeptical bama had a legit offer, but could not care less. It's almost like you're actually jealous that it may be true, that Alabama did offer him, and he still came to lowly Iowa St and their new head coach.

Somehow getting a good QB in these transition years is so critical to a new regime. It is a tough challenge to do in a few weeks for a new staff, and one that helped to derail Rhoads.

Regardless of P5 offers or stars I am thrilled the new staff got a guy they absolutely wanted and believe can succeeded in their offense. Better yet he comes in early to get a head start on developing and learning. A big win for the program under Campbell.

You know what else needs to be called out? Douchebaggery. Gonzo you're a ******* ******

I'm just relaying what I heard. If you think I'm blowing smoke that's fine but it's legit information

Who cares if he had an Alabama offer? He looks to be like a solid QB and that is exactly what we need. He already is one of the highest ranked QBs we have had in the last several years.

Yeah, if you guys actually plucked a QB with a 'Bama offer from their backyard, I'd be extremely jealous.
