I'm guessing nobody told Matt Campbell that "We Are Iowa State". I love that he's not letting our reputation as a difficult recruiting school get in his way, nor making excuses for it.
It's great that he's upgrading the quality of players. Now it's all about how his staff develops them.
Are some of you guys really this stupid? You seriously think we got this guy over Florida, Alabama, etc? If CMC likes this guy as his first QB recruit, that's good enough for me. But at 2-star and a 5.4 rivals rating, he's lower-rated than any Rhoads-recruited QB other than Dom DeLira, who had the same rating.
I seriously doubt that Saban even considered him, but I like rolling with the narrative that we beat out Saban for a QB.
If our QB group is Lanning, Starcevich, De Lira and Noland, are we comfortable with the backup if Lanning goes out or are we still looking?
2 star I assume is by rivals?
Scout has him as a 3 star #48 QB and 247 had him as a 3 star, 82 rating, and #64 QB.

The best part, in this scenario anyway, is that Zeb is a legacy to Appalachian State. Most schools probably didn't even consider offering the kid for that very reason. If you watch his highlights, he's obviously a very talented QB. I know it's hard for some people to not be dicks, though.
Yep and I like every bit of it...I have a feeling that we are going to Pack the Jack and people are going to love CMC, while making him immortal.
