Little kids can be so tired that it is actually hard for them to get to sleep. I think we missed the natural drowsy window and her body reacted by producing stuff to keep her awake. She's just fighting it with everything now.

I did find one link that talks about it, but it was a bit more of how to avoid being over tired.

When your child’s overtired or has been stimulated for too long, she has to try to remain alert and focused. To do this, her brain releases cortisol. As cortisol keeps your tot awake, it’s not a good idea to stimulate or stress her when a sleep is due, or to allow her to become overtired in the first place.

Bleah. Cheesy brats ftw.

HyVee bacon cheddar brats.

I love that mall. It's just designed for great Christmas shopping. That and Steak N Shake.

I'm pondering for my Christmas shopping weekend whether to do IC or DSM. Pros & cons for both.

Chocolate pie was consumed today. It was glorious.

45 minutes before I go into the breach. Not necessarily by my choosing.

is your Thanksgiving tomorrow or Saturday?

Saturday.

Tomorrow is prep day. Baking the pies & cornbread; cooking the turkey neck stock for the gravy & dressing; crumbling cornbread, chopping onions, pecans, celery & picking the turkey necks for the dressing; boiling the eggs for the deviled eggs...lots of busy stuff. I find it much more relaxing than cleaning. ;)

Coral Ridge is closer for us, and it doesn't get as packed as Jordan Creek does. Depends on who you need to shop for and the stores available, too.

DH's mom does a pretty good Thanksgiving but I think I want to go to yours instead.
