I'm guessing it would be good for weekends when there aren't tournaments but probably not during the week. I personally love the place because Des Moines was lacking in places to play pickup volleyball.

Only issue going forward playing in Ames is that most us are not students, and a student can only sponsor a couple people. last time the majority got lucky because of the fire alarm. We may need to look into a place like Forker where no pass is needed or go to city hall gym. Ames city hall open gym is only like 1.50 much cheaper than the $6 it costs at lied.

Playing around Dsm has me nervous. For some reason I feel like it's gonna be all ex college bball players. I used to hold my own at Lied pretty well with the guys I rolled with her but I could see the completion being way better. As an out of shape 6 foot 3 post player, I'd get dominated.

Try being a 5'9" out of shape player.
