ISU would kill for an 11-3 end of season record with an undisputed division championship.
And Iowa fans will be calling for Kirk's head if he loses 3 straight to end the season, especially considering one of them would be a pretty bad loss to a fake rival

You are right. Because we will have known we have earned it by playing some of the best teams in the nation. Not given to us because we were a little less crappy then the other teams we have played.

You may end up getting the FCS treatment from power 5 schools. Refuse to schedule isu cause it is nothing but an anchor on the season.
And yet according to Sagarin, ISU is better than almost all of Iowa's opponents despite our poor record. Illinois State, Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Maryland, and North Texas... Just to name a few. So no, ISU isn't any more of a drag on your SOS than your entire Big 10 schedule was, maybe Iowa should refuse to play them?
Listen Iowa had a better season, they are the better team, congrats. They are probably still a top 25 caliber team even on a harder schedule. But, if you really think they are a top 10 team, let alone top 5, I've got some prime beach front property in Iowa City to sell you.
Iowa should stop scheduling Indiana, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue, Nebraska, Minnesota and Illinois. It's a lose-lose situation. Beat them and you were supposed to. Lose to them and they gain nothing.
That's seven super bowls a year, plus ISU. How do they have the energy?
Its ISU. Screams poor scheduling. Like a 4a school playing a 8 man team.
The eight man team may think they are good, but seriously its an eight man football team.
They don't even have to expend that much energy to even try that hard. It's the OTHER team's super bowl, not Iowa's. Iowa could care less about those games, but they still win. That's just how dang good they are!
