That leaves 0 if Monte stays and Ashton remains on scholarship. Two if Monte leaves and Ashton goes back to walkon status.
Ashton has almost zero chance to stay on scholly unless we fail recruiting. The only reason he has a scholly now is that we had two in 2015 and we were only looking for one mid season transfer.
Thats two or 3 without Monte
Let's get this cleared up. This is the 2015-16 season. Scholarships only last one season.
2015 we started with 2 open. 1 is now being used by Ashton
2016 we have two or 3 without Monte. Ashton won't use one next season unless they remain open.

Kansas fan that talks **** about every single basketball recruit ISU gets. No matter how good, 4* or whatever, his first response to national media that announces it is, "Who?" Then the next six tweets are how Kansas is better than ISU. He also brings up the occasional all-time record between the schools, and eventually 11 straight. Today it was Borzello, most of the time it's after a Goodman announcement. Sometimes Fran Fraschilla.
Take Ashton off scholarship and you still only have 2 available if Monte leaves. Where is the 3rd coming from?
There are two now for 2016 unless you are counting Lard already which I'm not.
He's saying before the Lard commit, you have 2 remaining if you assume Ashton goes back off next year. Three with Monte leaving.
If Lard makes it, it will be 1-2 remaining.

How many times has a kid been put on scholarship for one year and taken off the next year? I've never heard of that happening.
