OU would roll the hawkeyes

Kind of funny that the Committee trashes the Big 12 Non-Conference record and says there is little evidence for Conference Strength.

6th place Texas Tech beat the 2nd place team in the SEC West at Arkansas. 2nd place Oklahoma beat SEC East 3rd Place Tennessee AT Tennessee.

Big 12 is 2-0 versus the SEC in head to head competition. And the 2 SEC teams that were played are in 2nd place and 3rd place in their respective divisions.

OPEN your eyes. committee. Your ratings are a complete joke.

That couldn't be more wrong. After Saturday Iowa will have played 7 teams that dragged down their SOS more than Iowa State did.

There's a reason that ISU played Iowa tougher than most teams on their schedule.... because we're one of the better teams they've played this year. That's when you know you have an easy schedule.

Where is Bowlsby in all of this? Shouldn't he be out in front of the media defending the Big 12 instead of allowing this committee to just walk all over us? It's been ridiculous the bashing the Big 12 has taken.

They constantly rip on Baylor for not playing anyone, but Ohio State has yet to beat a top 25 team, but they are 3rd and keep getting all the praise.

And it seems that TCU is getting punished for Boykin being injured because there's no way they should be all the way down to 18th with one loss against an undefeated Okie State. But how can they punish them for Boykin being injured, but they never punished Ohio State last year when their top 2 QB's got hurt?

It's all a bunch of BS. No consistency at all. Total favoritism for the B1G and SEC.

Bowlsby should be repeatedly saying that the SEC had 2 of their better teams play Big 12 teams and that the games were played at SEC stadiums. And the Big 12 won both of them.

The Big 12 is 2-0 and both games were away games for the Big 12. So much for the myth that the SEC is this dominant conference. Alabama is playing FCS Charlston Southern this week.

The juggernaut of the Alabama non-conference schedule includes......Wisconsin played in Arlington, TX. Middle Tennessee and University of Louisiana--Monroe. And FCS Charlston Southern.

What is so tough about that non-conference schedule? IMO, Oklahoma's non-conference schedule is tougher with Tennessee, Akron, and Tulsa. NO FCS teams in that group.

Oklahoma's win at Tennessee doesn't count because Oklahoma had to change time zones to get that win.

This REALLY bothers me after what this committee did to TCU on the last week of the season last year. TCU moved from #3 to #6 after beating ISU 55-3. Alabama is playing FCS Charleston Southern this week. IMO, if the committee is consistent, Alabama should then move down at least 3 spots this week, probably more since Charleston Southern isn't nearly as good as ISU, right?

I'll be waiting on Tuesday night, and holding my breath, to see how far they drop Alabama after playing such a weak opponent this week. They should be at #5 or worse if they don't want to lose all credibility. But of course, they will stay at #2, and maybe even move up if Clemson loses IMO. Unreal.

Losses by Alabama are forgivable. Weak non-conference by Alabama is forgivable. Same with Ohio State. Good wins by Big 12 teams are not considered. Playing Minnesota in the non-conference is a weakness. Playing Minnesota in the Conference schedule is a strength.

Bottom line is that the College Football Playoff Committee has 3 Big Ten members......out of 12 members. There is obvious bias against the Big 12.

The Big 12 is 2-0 against the SEC and the games were played at SEC stadiums. SEC pretty much refuses to play non-conference away games. The College Football Playoff Committee is a joke.

It's ridiculous when you think about the facts.

Today Ohio St might get its first win over a top 25 team. After today Wisconsin will fall out of the top 25 when they lose to Northwestern, giving Iowa one win over a top 25 team (the 20th ranked team). They are currently the number 3 and 5 teams in the rankings. Yet Oklahoma St destroyed TCU, which was at the time the No. 3 ranked team in the country and hasn't cracked the top 5 yet. Also TCU fell all the way to 18th despite having one loss to a 10-0 team.

Sorry ISU is the "tomato" of the Big 12. Not Iowa's fault they were given this B1G schedule.

Not saying the easy schedule is Iowa's fault. I fault the committee for propping up Iowa's schedule and making excuses to everyone that it is somehow a tough schedule. It isn't.

It certainly hasn't been outstanding, but it's not been a terrible one.

The argument is really nonsensical as even the people that matter disagree with it.

It's just like the employee that thinks they know better how to run the business. It fails logical argument.

Iowa's schedule has been the definition of terrible

Having a schedule in the top half of SOS isn't terrible. And despite Baylor having played Oklahoma and Okie State, their schedule STILL ranks behind Iowa's "terrible" slate.

Not being in the top 60 of SOS is terrible in my book.

The frustration is not Iowa's preseason schedule it is that they did not have to play a single good conference team. Non conf schedule was actually pretty decent.
