The way the Stupid Bros are coaching and thee Sooners are playing, they can beat any team in the country....having said that, since they lost to Texass, they also can lose to any of the top teams in the country........that's life in the BIG XII

Oklahoma has looked really good since playing Texas. They're hot right now.

I get a kick out of some of the pundits saying things like "I don't see how anyone beats Alabama." They have a loss, you don't have to have an imagination to see it happen, you just need a dvr.

I'm talking about the TCU team that barely won by 6 against the worst team in the history of college football. After getting blown out the week before. And if we're talking injuries, does Iowa get to count beating a top 20 team on their field by 30 with their #4 RB and neither of their starting OTs? And without their top WR? And without their best defensive player? And with a QB playing on one leg? Or does that not count because it's Iowa and the hoks suck.

Beathard needs to lose the dramatic gangster limp back to the huddle after each play. Pretty sure he wasn't limping as he juked LBs and DBs while scrambling. Pretty sure he was't limping while rolling out left and throwing back across the field. Pretty sure he wasn't limping while jogging into the endzone on the naked boot.

He is all about drama and enjoys every moment the announcers talk about it -- his dad loves it too.

I'll bet the guy absolutely slays it with the ladies.

I feel the Big XII will be on the outside looking in, whenever possible.
The SEC doesn't like our style of play (as apparent by their coaches speaking out against the fast-tempo offenses). The B1G doesn't like our style of play (and will likely never vote a Big XII team in over any other conference). People will point to no title game being the reason, but as Herbstreit (sp?) said on gameday "they have a title month".
No team in the country would willingly swap their final 3 games for Baylor, Oklahoma, Okie State, and TCU (pick 3). Ultimately, our round-robin "true" champion format will bite us in the *** year after year.

Kansas would be at least an 8 point underdog to every Power 5 team in the country according to Sagarin

On another note, while I was combing the depths of Power 5 Sagarin rankings, I see Kansas is the worst by a long shot, with Oregon State coming in next, but they are closely followed by Purdue. A mighty November conference matchup for the nation's #5 team.

And yet, Purdue beat Nebraska by 10 and had Northwestern on the ropes in Evanston. So a Hawkeye win Saturday will be another quality B1G victory for Iowa to help them move up the rankings.

Plus it's a big time rivalry game so throw out the records anything could happen.

I am at the point of hoping Iowa wins out by playing Nebby and ohio State. Listening to their chirping about their success would be a blast during the bball season. Assuming they would have to then beat Clemson which is a lot better draw than the front seven of Alabama.

The thing is the iowa defense wanders around the ball on third down and does just enough to win. They appear to be best coached in their last ten years at this point. Somebody decent must now be on their staff.

Beat 8-2 northwestern by 40
Beat 8-2 Wisconsin on the road
Beat 7-3 Pitt

See I can cherry pick stats too

I'm willing to give you those so long as I don't have to hear Indiana, Minnesota and Illinois are "good teams" or "better than their record." What a joke.

Boykin did not play last 3 quarters. Doctson was out for the game. They were without their 2 best players.

Iowa's been without several of its best players all season long but that apparently doesn't give them a pass for winning tight games against bad teams.

Wisconsin has not beaten a team with a winning record this year. Northwestern has 2 wins over teams with winning records.

All true statistics. So are these.

12-24 – Combined Big 10 record of Iowa’s Big 10 opponents to date (5 of those wins were by Wisconsin)

5-1 – Wisconsin’s Big 10 record (the five wins were against 0-6 Maryland, 0-6 Rutgers, 1-5 Purdue, 2-4 Illinois, 3-4 Nebraska)

Wisconsin benefits from playing the easiest P5 schedule in the country nearly yearly. Besides Stanford in week 1, collectively who has Iowa's quality wins beaten this year? A who's who of who's irrelevant.

TCU won against a bad team........just like Iowa. TCU is like the 4th best team in the Big 12.

University of Houston should be in the playoffs. Undefeated........makes no difference if you play bad teams.

Ohio St.
Baylor
Oklahoma St.
TCU
Michigan
North Carolina
Wisconsin
Michigan St.
Houston
Navy

We're 11 weeks into the season, and these are the teams just from the AP top 25 who currently have a weaker SOS than Iowa.

They can almost lose to the rest of the teams they play and I'd be ok with that

That's my point. Someone pointing out that TCU almost lost to Kansas doesn't mean TCU sucks. They still won the games. But an Iowa fan using that example in defense of their results is laughable and dumb.

Close wins count the same as blowouts.
