OU would roll the hawkeyes

I hate to say this, but I agree with Split.

I'd rather beat 11 really bad B1G teams than lose to 9 really good Big XII teams...

I wouldn't. I love losing to big 12 teams every week. I would hate to be in the big 10 and cruise to 11 wins every few years. Even when your team is complete garbage you'll never win less than 6 or 7. Im not even sure it's possible.

Yep, TCU (with most of its defense suspended or hurt) beats Minnesota at Minn by 7 = worthless. Iowa beats Minn at home after coach has to retire by 5 should = #1

I really don't think it was the 17 points allowed that caught everyone's attention in that game.

I don't hope Iowa gets into the playoff so they are exposed. With 30 days to prepare, Ferentz has shown he can get a team ready for anyone. The time for them to be exposed is in a 12 week season not a bowl game.

Hasn't Iowa lost their last few bowl games? They got blown out last year by a mediocre SEC team

Exactly. I could see Iowa getting the 3 seed if they get in. That means they play Alabama? Oh man, that would be an embarrassing day for tavernhawks all over. I'd give it a 44-10 type of prediction.

Getting to the playoff and losing would still be nothing to scoff.

And yet, I would trade places in a heartbeat. It sucks, because the talent gap between our teams in minimal, but they finish games (albeit against much weaker competition), and we can't.

yeah, but what changed from them from last year to this year? A solid QB. I think we have our answer finally. And give him a spring to mold....I see our team different next year.

Danny Sheridan said that Vegas would have Iowa as underdogs against the rest of the top 17 teams in the country. That's saying something.

Let's not forget that Minnesota was playing without both of its starting DT's, and were playing with a 2nd string guy at one safety spot and a 3rd string guy at the other safety spot last night. Oh, and also without their starting RB too. Not to mention their head coach retired a few weeks ago.

But Iowa did what they had to and got the win. Give them credit for that. I just don't understand how up to this past Saturday the committee was ripping Big 12 teams for not having played anyone, but neither had Iowa or Ohio State.

And this year, Iowa moved up 4 spots barely beating Indiana, but TCU moved down 3 spots last year for beating ISU 55-3. Tell me how that works?

I think if OU wins outs they will have beaten Baylor, TCU and OK state. I think they get in over Iowa even if they win out.

If OK state wins out, they will also get in over Iowa.

No way the committee puts in a 1-loss OU over undefeated Iowa.

I think it'd be pretty obvious that OU is a much better team than Iowa, but Iowa would (probably) have just beaten undefeated and reigning champ, OSU. There is just no way.
