Wicked is pretty good :)

now I'm curious on the Annie thing.

Carousel is how DH and I got started :)

Why Annie? Can't stand the songs or the chipper little brat.

Not a big fan of Phantom or Cats or most ALW other than JC Superstar. ALW was playful back then. He's overwrought now. :)

In my three years in high school, the first year we did King & I (I was a wife). Junior year we did The Fantasticks...6 or 7 male roles and only 1 stinking female role in the whole thing. It wasn't me. :) Senior year we wanted to do Roar of the Greasepaint, Smell of the Crowd, but something went wrong with the royalties and we ended up not doing any musical that year. VERY disappointing to say the least, especially after nearly all the girls were stiffed the year before.

Our select choir in high school used to do "books" from musicals - basically a montage of shortened versions of the songs. We did one for Brigadoon that was a favorite of most of the members. I don't know how I forgot that one!

Senior year it came down to Carousel or Bye Bye Birdie. We got to vote and I voted hard for Carousel. Knew if we did that, DH and I would be Billy and Julie. Felt that play would push things along between DH and I better, hahahaha. Though it's good that we dated for several years after - he probably could have sued on false representation with that role giving the impression that I was a demure and acquiescing type of girl.

The Cat in the Hat got knocked out early because our teacher had trouble seeing DH as that character, lol.

That sucks on the royalty deal. I need to watch the King and I; I think I would like it.

hey, were is 2015 lately? Still stuck in Vegas?
Catching a musical in Vegas.

The King & I is worth it if only for the fun of watching Yul Brynner stomping around barefoot in knee length pants and an open vest. :)

I just don't get why everyone is all over Sam Richardson's knob right now. I mean, I was on the Richardson wagon last year but this year he seemed out of sorts with better pass protection. I'm appreciative of his playing time, but people are acting like he rescued their children from a burning building.

The last on stage musical for me was Cole Porters Anything Goes at the Guthrie before musical girl CG was even born.

Since it's been that long, maybe I am not a musical guy.

Overreaction and feeling bad for the outright awful things they said about him during the season.

Getting to Know You was one of the very first songs I learned in lessons.

Didn't realize Wouldn't It Be Lovely was from My Fair Lady.
