Any reason why this game is not on a Friday or Saturday night? Bummer we cannot host recruits for a weekend, rocking game.

It was first scheduled for Friday, but they couldn't get it televised. Had to move it to Thursday so ESPN would pick it up.

It was on the last day of classes in the fall semester like usual (the Friday of Dead Week) but ESPN wanted it moved to Thursday to get it on ESPN2. I believe it would have been on ESPNU or ESPNews if we left it on the Friday.

I don't think we see higher than Fran Con 6 in Hilton. He doesn't want curly headed perpetual student girl on his case.

I don't think Woody can catch up to McKay for the eye poke, but I suppose he might try it with Georges. He will foul on the opening jump for sure though.

Watching the football game on Saturday, I believe I saw her. She's gotta be on the Van Wilder plan.

Pretty bummed about it being on Thursday as well, as I'm not sure I'll be able to make it down there. But definitely awesome that ESPN sees it as premiere enough to move.

The positive about it being on Thursday is perhaps less Hawk fans trying to travel to the game.

I sure hope Prohm talks to the officials before the game and reminds them to look for his signature tip off foul. It would be awesome for him to be whistled for a foul before a second even runs off the clock. What a ******* move.

I appreciate anyone who looks for the positive on CF. I have heard a lot of whining about the Thursday game from my student who registered for a class that meets on Thursday afternoon, said he looked at the basketball schedule and would have picked a different class had he known. Regardless, I think he is hoping to skip it depending on what they are doing, as there is no way he'll get into the game if he goes to a Thursday afternoon class.

I generally tune out the crowd, so does anyone have any pics or information as to what makes her special? I've seen a reference to her numerous times in the last week or so; nothing much in the other five years I've been on this site.

I don't have a picture at all. I think it is the fact that she always winds up on TV. She was on the Cyclone Alley Committee or whatever it is called, that is of debatable value but always gets to sit in great seats in Cyclone Alley. I have heard she graduated but saw her sitting in the student section during the football game, which clearly isn't unusual or hard to do even if you are not a student.

I skipped classes for far less reason than a basketball game. I skipped a TEST the day LIED opened.

Exactly correct.

I skipped a whole week of classes to work a stadium concert.

Of course I then had to drop one of those classes because I was too far behind to catch up. :spinny:

And now he's living in a van....down by the river! La-tee-da!
