Dear America - Iowa Doesn't Care What You Think

1) You gave a prediction of ISU's record with Iowa's schedule. You felt comfortable enough to give a win total of 6 or 7. Here is your exact post on it:
"ISU would currently be 4-3 with Iowa's schedule and would finish either 6-6 or 7-5."
That post doesn't exactly scream uncertainty to me.

2) Beating a Top 10 team that is in the playoff discussion isn't a big win for NW now? Yikes, this win over a 3-5 Texas team is really getting to some people here.

3) Agreed, as I've said multiple times now in this thread.

4) What "facts" have you posted here? I haven't seem much beside "X team could compete with Y team", or "team X would be 7-5 with team Y's schedule". I think you are confusing "facts" with opinions, and well, that seems to be pretty standard on a message board.

I think he was being extremely conservative. You guys were lucky to beat us. You guys play our schedule I have no doubt you would have 3 losses right now.

You're not fooling anyone. No one believes you actually think Memphis deserves a higher ranking than Iowa, because that would be stupid. Really, really, really stupid.

Why? They have more quality wins. Iowa has beat nobody. All we know is they have been able to soundly beat 1 mediocre team (NW) and squeeze out wins over the only other mediocre teams they have played (pitt, Wisconsin, Illinois and ISU) and everyone else has been horrible. Not that I am knocking Iowa we are 1-3 against mediocre teams (iowa, toledo, tech and Texas). Neither you or us have beaten a good team, Memphis has.

What about if, in two weeks, Memphis is 10-0 with wins over Navy and at Houston?

What if they're 11-0 with a win at Temple as well?

At some point, if they keep winning, Memphis' resume will be better than Iowa's. It's already not too far off. Memphis has the best win off of either resume over Ole Miss.

It's cute that you think the number 10 takes team is considered mediocre.

I guess this is the in-state rivals board and some fans cannot have a civil and honest discussion about a rival but the level of nitpicking and jealousy (ISU fans) and defensiveness (Iowa fans) is pretty unreal.

The fact is Iowa has won all of their games. The fact is the teams they have beaten have defeated exactly 2 teams with winning records (one of those is a REALLY good win...NW/Stanford). 1) Why are Iowa fans so defensive about the schedule? I see enough Jon Miller Twitter retweets to think he posts about Iowa's schedule about every day. Fact is, the schedule sucks and will only get worse. 2) The 2015 Iowa team can't control their schedule. They've won every game and in most have looked good doing so. You can't take that away from them as there are only a select few teams still undefeated.

This isn't that hard.

From what I've heard the Iowa folks truly are defensive about their schedule which tells me that they do realize that it does in fact suck. But there is no doubt in my mind that if Iowa runs the table including the Big 10 championship they are in the play off. I mean really, with all the Big Ten homers in the media, and there are plenty, does anyone really think the Big Ten would be left out?

I'm assuming that The Committee is the same make up this year as last year which includes three people with Big Ten ties, (ie: TO of Neb, Alvarez of Wisc., and another with Mich St. ties, Name escapes me). They are one third of the Committee if I have it right! No way the B1G champ is left out - politics alone bears that out. Schedule or no schedule.

I did have to chuckle when I heard that on Saturday's Sound Off show, as ISU was shutting out Texas, one of the show mods was trying to make the case that Maryland is a better team than Texas. I thought : "What the hell does that have to do with anything?" Certainly nothing to do with the play off system. I mean: "the poor team my team beat is better than the poor team your team beat!" Sophomoric at best, and damn funny. LOL

It's cute that you think the number 10 takes team is considered mediocre.

You have to beat someone better than mediocre to prove you are anything but. You have nothing over any of the undefeated non p5. In fact, many have a better resume.

Many? None do. That's besides the point. Iowa is top ten. That's not considered mediocre by any stretch of the imagination.

We have a #10 ranking. That's something we have over at least a few of them.

I just saw a stat that said TCU, Baylor, and Oklahoma St. have not beaten a team that's received votes in the AP or coaches poll this season.

Wow. With all the talk of weak W's, you guys may want to get on that.

Colin Cowherd, "I'll tell you the team I'm not going to give a vote to, and I don't care if they go 28 and oh, is Iowa." #Hawkeyes

Their schedule "gets on that", unlike Iowa's.

Why are Iowa fans the only people living in the bubble where we can't see remaining schedules? People aren't complaining about those Big 12 teams because they will all play each other.

Did I see another Jon Miller article going viral on Facebook? What a little *****.

If you're pulling out Cowherd as a champion of your anti-Iowa crusade, I'll chalk that up as a win.

Don't hold your breath

Week 4 of the AP poll has both Texas Tech and Minnesota receiving votes.

Edit
That same pole also has West Virginia and K State receiving votes as well.
Maybe you misinterpreted the stat you saw.

He's probably responding to the incessant whining by their fans.

But Jon Miller told me it's an ESPN conspiracy coming down from the highest levels? Is Cowherd on ESPN?
