A buddy and I created a season long fantasy game based around the margin of victory/defeat. It is extremely easy to sign up and play. I know a few people on CycloneFanatic played last year and wanted to post it here again because we are both ISU fans/alums.

Here is a link to the site: https://www.fantacbb.com

  1. Select a 9-team roster within the $100 Salary Cap
  2. Challenge your friends/family/message board buddies/etc. to join
  3. Set your lineup weekly to optimize your score
  4. Entry with most total points in April is crowned the 2015-16 FantaCBB Champion!
Thanks for considering and hopefully anyone who choses to play has fun.

I was just coming back to post this:

We ask that prior to submitting an entry, you make sure you've made your final decisions on teams - rosters cannot be changed after they're submitted. If you don't have time to complete your entry just remember your login/pwd so you can go back to submit it later. We are taking entries until Friday, November 13th @ 11:00am ET.

cyclonenation5 - In your specific case, I'd suggest submitting a new entry. I know that isn't ideal - but we are doing our best at creating a site in our spare time and haven't had the time/resources to figure out how to edit submitted entries for this season.

Signed up! Sounds fun... I went with a few teams that I know play up-tempo, otherwise didn't put much research into my picks. Figure that'll change as the season goes on.

Fitzy - You are locked into your 9 teams all season long. However, you do only "start" (accumulate points) for 7 of them each week. You can move teams into your starting lineup from your bench based on schedule, number of games, gut feeling, Vegas line, the fact that they are playing Iowa State, etc.

We are hoping to eventually offer smaller games (eg. monthly, weekly, etc.) but as of right now it is a season long thing.

Margin of victory can be so volatile in basketball. Is it really fun?

I think it is, but I'm a little biased .

The fun, for me, is that it gives me 8 (or 9 if you don't pick ISU) additional teams to have a rooting interest in throughout the course of a season. If I pick Florida, I can flip a game on in February and have a reason to cheer against Kentucky (other than them being Kentucky) and for Florida.

There are bonus points to winning your conference and advancing in the NCAA Tourney as well.

I remember doing this last year and it was pretty cool. I'll play again

Thanks! We made some adjustments this year where you can sub teams in and out on a weekly basis. Gives you a little more control and flexibility in your lineup decisions. Good luck!

Ahhhh gotcha. That makes sense! Either way, pretty confident with my teams.
