Dear America - Iowa Doesn't Care What You Think

Top 10 team, not top 10 program. To be a top 10 program like ISU basketball you have to ranked more than once every 5 seasons

What's funny is that this Iowa football team has been ranked in the top 10 the same number of weeks as the ISU MBB team was in last year's regular season.

And you turned another football thread into a basketball thread.

Do me a favor and pick up the mic back up and tell me what those teams were ranked a week ago when we were discussing them. Also, give a preemptive shout out to Wisconsin for being ranked next week assuming they beat Maryland (as you apparently can see into the future when it comes to rankings).

Also, lets hear some more "facts" about Stanford and how they aren't really a good win for someone.

Just keep that mic holstered.

So if iowa loses 1 or 2 games the rest of this season, I have to always refer to them as the 10th ranked team, even though they won't be? I don't get your logic....

Typical Hawk troll pretending to be Cyclone fan spending his time on CF questioning the sanity of Cyclone fans spending their time on CF.

Don't forget the hypocrisy of calling posters here "little brother" while spending their time telling us how awesome Iowa is on an ISU website.

Iowa is ranked as a top 10 team right now. ISU basketball and Iowa wrestling are top 10 programs.

I mean we lost our coach to the Chicago Bulls and we're ranked #7 right now. To compare national perception of the programs Iowa would be an underdog to an average Tennessee team in football right now

Of course not, and that has absolutely nothing to do with Pitt and Duke both being ranked at the time we were discussing them. Not sure if either of us know where you're trying to go with this one.

Also, still waiting for that Stanford not being a good win update.

Which is awesome. I'm just glad you're getting through this ok.

I do kind of hope Iowa gets in a January Bowl this year so that way the people that were calling for KF's head going into this season can have more ammo for why Ferentz is such a great coach.

Iowa will lose in that bowl game but go into next season with a ton of hype and then lose 5-6 games with a soft schedule. Hawk fans will want him fired after next season. Rinse and repeat

Pretty sure you're hoping/praying for an Iowa loss every week. Just a hunch. But the season is starting to pay off with recruiting, we just landed a good DB out of Florida.

I honestly really don't care anymore, I'm already in basketball season mode. I mean yeah it'd be great if Iowa lost, it always is, but even if they lose a couple more they'll most likely get a January Bowl.

It's almost more fun watching Iowa fans trying to get validation from the national media that doesn't care about them

I'm sure that you put a lot of time into the recruitment of that "good DB". BTW, since you're on staff, you might want to tell KF that he may have screwed up filling up on early commits this year.

Ah, you're one of those don't use "we" guys. Got it. Sorry. The University of Iowa Hawkeye football program just landed a good DB recruit out of Florida. Better?

I guess this is the in-state rivals board and some fans cannot have a civil and honest discussion about a rival but the level of nitpicking and jealousy (ISU fans) and defensiveness (Iowa fans) is pretty unreal.

The fact is Iowa has won all of their games. The fact is the teams they have beaten have defeated exactly 2 teams with winning records (one of those is a REALLY good win...NW/Stanford). 1) Why are Iowa fans so defensive about the schedule? I see enough Jon Miller Twitter retweets to think he posts about Iowa's schedule about every day. Fact is, the schedule sucks and will only get worse. 2) The 2015 Iowa team can't control their schedule. They've won every game and in most have looked good doing so. You can't take that away from them as there are only a select few teams still undefeated.

This isn't that hard.
