Pro tip: Don't go several years without cleaning your gutters. Had little plants growing through the screens. Pulled them out but masses of roots in the gutter would not flush out so had to cut holes in the screen in about four places and pull all of this stuff out. Several hours of ******* around perched on a ladder with wire cutter and garden hose.
ISU buddy who stopped by ended up being ladder safety guy for me. Boxster no go to second floor roof level without safety boy at the ladder base.

they had changed out of their costumes. And actually, the muppet thing was also his costume a couple years ago. It was a pretty low-key house party.

Going as a card against humanity card is an awesome idea. I'll need to keep that in mind for next year.
That's true too. But kilts and bagpipes are expensive so might not be a great idea. And I was talking to a friend who said there should be more sexy costumes for guys. I joked that I could live up to my farming heritage and go as a sexy farmer. So there's that option too.
Had a reverse BDK today. Got back from doing laundry and there was an in fact pumpkin on my stoop. I'm totally gonna roast some pumpkin seeds.

Oh no, Guenter Schabowski died today. He's one of the people most responsible for the fall in of the Berlin Wall. The East German government had intended to phase in a less restrictive policy of letting East Germans into West Berlin during the night, but good ol' Guenter (a government spokesman) messed up and told a press conference it would happen immediately. East Germans swarmed the gates, were let through, and that started the fall of the wall.
I'm no boxster or KC, but compared to some of y'all, I can brag that I am old enough to remember watching that live.
wedding update. They invited my mom dress shopping. Sounds like one of those cringey episodes of SYTTD with the mom who has her vision of what the daughter should wear and ignores anything the bride wants.
Kept wanting the daughter to try on tight, mermaid styles. Daughter clearly looked self-conscious and uncomfortable in them. Tried on a ballgown type (at my mom's suggestion of trying something "different") and seemed to love it, but the mom was like, "but you (I) like these mermaid types." They had her try on a sale rack dress that was way too small and daughter was all about how she was going to and needed to lose weight.
My mom found out later that the morning of, there had been a squabble about the daughter not doing enough chores around the house and how she needed to lose weight. The day she goes dress shopping. No wonder she wasn't thrilled about skin-tight dresses.
The daughter does not need to lose weight, and even if she needed to lose 150 ******* pounds, you do not say any **** like that and especially not before dress shopping. Unsurprisingly, she hasn't found anything yet. I'm still feeling so much rage about this and wish I could slap the mother. Goddamn.
