Ooh speaking of volleyball, I have two cousins in high school who play and they're sisters. Both of them were just unanimously named first team all conference the other day and if they win on Tuesday, they're going to state.
Yeah, I almost answered it differently, because I read it thinking "I know what you're going for here, and I don't agree in that way, but I do agree in a different way"
I don't think anyone deserves to get ripped off, even if they don't do their homework or were too trusting. We've all been there at some point in our lives and are probably gullible in areas where we don't know as much even today. I mean, this is really the equivalent of "they were asking for it". Most of the times when people get scammed it is actually by someone they trust, not a total stranger.
Or older people. I worked with Western Union for long enough to see how sad it was. And when I say old, I don't mean KC or Boxster "old" I mean actual old. People in their 80s or 90s even. Once a week we'd see people like that come in getting scammed. We always stopped it from happening, but God knows how many other places just do the transaction to get the fee.
Watching the Iowa game. The fans have a cheer where they chant I-O-W-A. Is it just me or is that an awkward chant? It's all one syllable until you throw in a three syllable letter. It just doesn't feel like it flows that well for a chant. They'd be better off chanting Hawk-Eyes.
Not to defend them but because they draw out the three vowels, the W doesn't seem out of place and it flows just fine.
Anyone have a good Swiss Steak recipe to share? I have round steak, one big onion, one green pepper and a can of whole tomato so have the base stuff.

My post wasn't meant as a bash on Iowa thing. It just sounds weird to me.

Nope. Still flows weird to me. Not a pacing thing. The fact that they have to draw out the three and rush the one makes it feel awkward to me. Especially when they could just say hawk! Eyes!
and 'rasslin' instead wrestling. I thought that was a joke, and no one would talk like that. Then we ate in Iowa City on our way to Wooster and I heard hawkeye fans pronouncing it that way.
Might have to grab some Harrelson apples since they are on sale for $1.50/lb. No biking plus comfort and desert food weather is not going to help keep me in any kind of shape.
