Duke is ranked this year
Well, ISU outplayed the #10 team in the country for the 1st half, and hung with them until the last few minutes of the game. So I guess it's conceivable they could give a team ranked outside of the top 20 a game.

I'm going to assume you meant they beat both Duke (#22) and Stanford (#8). Someone must have slipped something in that delicious Ames water.
Duke won 10 games in 2013, 9 last year and is 6-1 this year. They are nothing like us
Would have hosted Pitt, which is a chance. They beat Illinois and with the current state of NW football (they barely beat Duke and Ball State, programs that would be comparable to ISU), I see no reason they can't win that game. So 2 out of those 3 games isn't far fetched.
Read my initial post. Did Iowa play Duke or Stanford? No. The comment was how each team would do against the other's schedule. If you think the ISU team that played evenly against the #10 team in the nation, and gave Baylor it's best game of the year can't hang with teams like NW, Ill, Maryland, Indiana, Purdue, etc. then you are crazy. And you (and other hawk friends) are the only ones in the world with that opinion.
Again, who cares about Duke. And who cares what they did last year, or 5 years ago. This Cyclone team has proven they can play with anybody this year. Maybe not win the game, but certainly play with them. Yes, they also have games like TT where they don't show up, but what team doesn't. Some are just lucky, or good enough to overcome really off days. ISU isn't one of those teams. But I've seen no reason why they couldn't play, and possibly upset any team outside of the the top 10.

Yup, just read it again (even linked it for you!) and still trying to see what you are getting at. You claim NW barely beat Duke (9pt win) and try to somehow equate #22 ranked 6-1 Duke to 2-5 ISU. You then bring up the NW/Ball state game while omitting NW's 10 point win over #8 Stanford. Just tying to figure out where you were wanting to go with that post.
That's not my initial post, Einstein.
Oh, you mean the one I didn't quote in my post and never specifically addressed.... Gotcha.
You're talking about the one where ISU would b 4-3 right now with Iowa's schedule and would end up 6-6 or 7-5? The post where you think Iowa would be a "lock to lose to either TT or Toledo" (you see how the term lock doesn't really work well there don't you?) and end up 6-6 or 7-5. Basically the post in question is the one where we just assign wins and loses for a schedule that isn't happening.
Yep, that's the one. But it didn't say they would be a lock to lose to either TT or Toledo. You no read so good. Only a lock to lose against Baylor or TCU. They most likely lose to TT as TT averages 46 ppg and they've only scored under 30 ppg once. Iowa has only scored over 32 points twice. That's just too big of a difference for the hawks to make up.

ISU would currently be 4-3 with Iowa's schedule and would finish either 6-6 or 7-5.
Iowa would currently be 4-3 as well with losses to Baylor and TCU a lock and a loss to either Toledo or Texas Tech. They would finish the season with at least 2 more losses, Oklahoma most likely and at least one other (Okie St, at KState, at WVU is at least 1 loss). They finish at best 7-5, and possibly 6-6 as well.
Iowa fans, instead of ******** and moaning about no respect, realize that respect is earned and deal with it. Is Iowa a better team than ISU, yes. But not head and shoulders better.

25 pages of "Iowa fans not caring what we think"? I love it!
With about 2/3 of the posts from ISU fans....
Regardless, I really don't care either way. I've already stated in this thread I don't think Iowa is a top 10 team, that they face any form of a tough remaining schedule, or that they will end the regular season undefeated. But when I see some of the stupidity thrown out in this thread, hey, its a fun way to kill some time.
Examples of stupidity:
"Iowa has had a cupcake schedule" - even though its been pointed out that they have a high SOS than half the ranked currently ranked teams.
"ISU would be X with Iowa's schedule" - how anyone could feel confident saying ISU would win any game after multiple recent FBS loses and 2-3 win seasons, I will never understand.
And my personal favorite to date:
"they barely beat Duke and Ball State, programs that would be comparable to ISU" - obviously oblivious that Duke is currently 6-1, ranked, and has recently been a solid program.
One post closer to page 26 of proving to us Cyclone fans you don't care what we think. Thanks!

Your arguments are flailing like a moth's wings stuck to a windshield wiper but you keep trying. I fear you may be running out of predetermined bullet points that cyfan rehashes in every thread.
Perhaps you should take a break and ask the others where you should go next.
