New KU basketball dorms

Goodman posted some pics from his trip there today and I'm not gonna lie, I was impressed.

Nice place to bang a cougar, hope it's got fast internet for uploading the pics.

I know that Kentucky and now Kansas have built these dorms, but haven't some schools been building athlete dorms/dinning centers for a while? They might not be as nice, but I thought a couple schools had athlete type living facilities. In any case, this is just another step of amertuer/pro sport as opposed to true college sport.

I want to know the percentage of "non Student athletes" stay here like the article says.
Are those students allowed to play pool? Sit in the theatre room? used the firepit area? media room? court?
and my guess is the non student athletes are all hot Female undergrads. lol.. Good for them. Shouldn't hurt recruiting anyway.

And short white guys who played BB in high school and help inflate the team GPA . . . and probably do homework for the starters.

It holds a total of 38 residents, 16 of which are the basketball players (no team managers or trainers). The other 22 are regular students. They have to be male and have to have already completed 30 hours of coursework (or demonstrate membership in something that provides significant structure and support, for example ROTC). They have access to all of the same amenities that the basketball players do. Its cost is in line with the two other new dorms that opened on campus this year.

Well, whoopeedee. Looks like a Hampton Inn with a soothing water wall. Good for those semi professional students. Looks like the team that sleeps together, plays together.

This is required so that they can give homework and papers from their courses to the KU players. Since they are one-and-dones, they only need help with first year courses. Hence the 30 hours.

Sounds like a win-win dorm.
