I'd have to watch again, but I'm assuming it's because it's not hard to cover when Iowa can stop the run with just their front four. You probably saw it thrown the Lazard so much because he's the only one that really can make a play happen even when tightly covered. Dude is still a stud. Hope we have him for 4 years.

I hope so too, and hope that we can also have an offense that can let him really shine, not just be the really nice lipstick on a runt pig.
 
busy day!


got more soil and some flowers at HD - pic incoming, returned some stuff, got groceries, helped DH in his seeding, fertilizing, and filling of low spots with soil, made a mat to put down in one washed out spot, potted my flowers, popped in and out to see VB win, made lasagna, have strawberry pretzel dessert chilling in the fridge, and bruschetta just about done. Time for some wine, delicious food, and the race! And probably some reading.

No, it was tied 17 all at 4 minutes. They broke the tie with under three minutes left...around 2.15 or so.

Iowa will always be a team we'll struggle against when our defense can't stop the run. Canzari was pretty much pickin up 6-7 yards at will. If we don't give up that huge punt return, I don't think Iowa drives the ball that well and we're still able to dink and dunk our offense down the field like you have to do against Iowa. Could have been a different game. But, oh well. On to Toledo.

I'm actually shocked by the little I've heard from my Hawkeye friends.

Losing Tucker hurt. Everything seemed to change after that.

Right, with the touchdown. Which I was ok with them giving up so we'd have two minutes left to come back and tie it again, as opposed to have Ferentz run the clock down and kick a chip shot field goal with 4 seconds left to win 20-17 and not even give our team a chance to come back.

and Iowa took a set off Hawaii. At Hawaii.

Hawaii is usually a pretty top program, but they haven't been as high the last year or two. That's a big win - since I also think FL beat TX and TX beat Nebby at Nebby.

I did that gif game and did one implying we'd lose to Toledo. After seeing how Toledo did today..............yeah.

WTF, we let them score after that interception? I was ****** and turned the game off and went to HD. ****, I figured we could at least hold them when all they would be doing was running out the clock.
