I was just probing the Hawks message boards, when this popped up. They are ripping us a new one for stating that we have the third largest stadium in the B12. Now I understand that "stadium envy" is what we as Cyclones have had when it involved those in Iowa City, but to have them point out they too have "stadium envy" hits me square in the face.
I was wondering if the size of a stadium really does matter, so i would like to ask you all if size does matter when it comes to this game.

I'd rather have a full 60,000 person stadium than a third-empty 90,000 person stadium every game.

Bragging about how big your stadium is when it's half empty every game is like bragging about your 6 bedroom house after your wife and kids left you. I mean sure, it's great that you have all that space to yourself, but no one's there to see it.

What a highly depressing metaphor. But it does fit.

Yes size of crowd matters. We had more in are stadium last week than they did!

The stadium capacities of other institutions in their conference is one of the few good things Iowa football has going for them these days.

Does the size of Oregon's Autzen Stadium hinder their success? Nope. Only 59,000 at standing room capacity.

I've been told its more what you do with it, also girth...of the seats

In this analogy, capacity would be the maximum size. Jack Trick has a much easier time at getting it up though.

Maybe Kinnick needs to invest in some Enzyte.
