Recruit Lists v2.0

Video didn't wow, but he looks reasonably athletic and can probably get up to 250 with his frame.

He looks like a good defensive player that could pick up easy points off alley oops and offensive put backs. Would be nice to have on the scout team at the very least. Likely a big upgrade from the new walk-on.

The academic situation with Carter makes me apprehensive...

New King Mixtape. Can see why kobe's game compares to Klay Thompson's per the experts. Plays under control and his shot is high and constant form.

Not sure why, but I was able to read the article on my phone with no subscription. Basically, Prohm talks to him daily saying how much he needs him.

Good to hear. How often is the head coach the primary recruiter? I'd venture not too often so many Cook will really enjoy ISU showing him how much they need him.

I hope we don't strike out on a lot of these high school recruits...Got a feeling we may find more luck with the JUCO route and transfers.

It's kind of the nature of recruiting to strike out on most of the guys you go after.

A nice mix would be great. Hopefully 3 HS kids, and then a couple of Jucos (2 year players), at least one immediate transfer and maybe a sit out or mid year transfer with multiple years.

I don't expect we will strike completely out on HS kids. Between Horne, Simpson, Tyler Cook and Lindy Waters, I think we land at least 1-2 and then we will still look for 1-2 plan B types.

We need to build some depth back up with HS kids. Transfer recruiting is getting very competitive, although this year our playing time available should help make us attractive.

I couldn't/could/shant care less about HS kids. They are nice for the uneducated masses and to battle hok fans with, but I'll take transfers all day e'ry day.
