With all of the major season preview magazines out, who does everyone see winning it?

I'll go with.....

1. Baylor
2. Oklahoma
3. TCU
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma State
6. West Virginia
7. Kansas State
8. Texas Tech
9. Iowa State
10. Kansas

4-7 seems pretty interchangeable to me.

1. OU
2. BU
3. TCU
4. KSU
5. OSU
6. UT
7. WVU
8. TTU
9. ISU
10. KU

Texas underperforms yet again. TCU has a great 95% of a season but a few big moment slips leave them in 3rd. BU should've won it, but OU and Stoops show yet again why they are the cream of the crop in the Big 12. KSU is written off early and Bill Snyder does what he always has done and defies expectations. OSU plays bipolar ball all year long. WVU limps to a bowl game to be the 7th Big 12 team to be playing in the bowl season. TTU is a firm 8th, not good enough to challenge the top dogs but has slightly more horses than ISU and KU who battle to not be the worst in the league. ISU improves to 4-8, but finishing higher than a 3-9 KU isn't much to celebrate.

My predictions will be out later this summer. Still think it's too early for this right now, so many things can happen now from opening kickoff.

1. TCU (12-0 and a CFP bid)
2. Baylor
3. Oklahoma
4. Kansas State
5. Texas
6. Oklahoma State
7. Texas Tech
8. West Virginia
9. Iowa State
10. Kansas

Iowa State at least 7th because of head-to-head victories over Kansas, Tech, Texas, and WV.

The anticipation is killing us, hopefully we can hold it together....

I think it's a race between TCU & Baylor. Boykin makes me give the edge to TCU right now, but if Baylor's new QB keeps things rolling like their QB's have done recently, November 27th will be huge.

1) TCU
2) Baylor

3) OU

4-7) OSU, Texas, KSU, WVU
8) Tech
9) ISU

10) KU

I'm probably going to be shot in this town for saying this, but I think Texas is going to be quite a bit better this year, based upon Charlie's track record at Louisville. I also have no clue where KU finds 3 wins.

TCU and Baylor for the conf championship.

OSU, Tex, Okla, KSU, WVU for 3-7

ISU, TTU for 8-9.

Kansas 10th.

Is this thread about the conference or how shittie we will be.

TCU
BAYLOR
KSU
OU
OSU
TEXAS
WVU
TEXAS TECH
ISU
KU

KSU down to Texas are interchangeable.

Same can be said for Tech to KU.

Baylor
OU
TCU
KSU
Texas
TTU
WVU
ISU
KU

That took me 15 seconds to think about.

1. OSU

4. Baylor
5. West Virginia
6. ISU
7. UT
8. KSU
9. Tech
10. KU

iSU 6th. OSU benefits from scheduling and wins Big 12. OSU, TCU, OU & Baylor all in it for Conference Championship till the last few weekends. West Virginia quietly improves & UT, Tech and KSU decline.

ISU finishes much higher than expected, but not because of their own doing. UT (continued QB issues) Tech (continued defensive issues) & KSU (no QB and Jucos take too long to gel) just aren't as good as expected.

I haven't delved completely into schedule for home/away, so I haven't done a game by game assessment.

But among the major contenders, BU has a schedule advantage over TCU (at KSU, at OSU, at OU), and gets OU at home.

1. Baylor
2. Oklahoma
3. TCU
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma State
6. Kansas State
7. West Virginia
8. (tie) Iowa State, Texas Tech
10. Kansas

4-5-6 seems like the most difficult trio to call.

Kansas' new coach came from Texas A&M. Should beat them but not guaranteed. We will never beat Texas Tech. They have way more talent on that team than we do.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Last time we played @ Texas Tech we lost by a touchdown, 42-35. The time before that down in Lubbock we absolutely blew them out 41-7. This year they aren't expected to be that great. No better than those previous years. They have some talent, and we maybe won't be great either, but it's not out of the question. Kliff has yet to prove he can put a competent defense on the field.
