Quite the crash at the end. Amazing everyone walked away from it. Hope the people in the stands are OK.

and W T F, Brad?!

That was nuts. How did dillon live. Honestly how. Then just got out and walked away.

Can you imagine what that would have been like without the upper fence?

Does anyone know if the race is going to be replayed since it started and finished so late?

You can also get the replay anytime on NBC Live Extra provided you have a cable/satelite log in.

Really wish NASCAR would just take the restrictor plates off, there are better ways of restricting them and not creating these huge packs that are just ticking time bombs. Next time they might not get so lucky that the engine doesn't land in someone's windshield or go through the fence.

Am I the only one that watched the replay today that thought half of it was commercials until the final 20 laps?

Every safety device and all the equipment did exactly what they were supposed to do. NASCAR has come a long ways in safety for both drivers and fans since Dale Earnhardt Srs death. Just incredible. Wish I was up to see it.

I also watched that live and thought no way Austin Dillon was alive when the crews from other teams went running out there. It's a miracle no one in the stands were seriously injured and an even bigger miracle Dillon walked away from that.

saw someone arguing that a wall would have been better than a catchfence because the catchfence allowed debris through/allowed Dillon's car to keep going and tearing things up. Apparently they think stopping a 190mph car cold is a good thing.

Dale Jr's in-car audio as it happened is a good insight into just how badly it scared him at least. I imagine other drivers felt the same.

Crash happens about 2:40 in but listening to how calm TJ is relaying info those last two laps is neat too. Note there are multiple f-bombs and other $25,000 words in this.
