Aesthetically speaking and given the current renovations, I like sidelines only. But the full bowl around the stadium would have made it feel bigger I think. May have helped recruiting, the what ifs are endless. Just a thought that crossed my mind.
The stadium design they chose was a far better design because it could be expanded much more easily. I just don't think they planned on waiting this long for it to be expanded.
The crew is now finishing the surface between the grass field and the SEZ. What is the material that the dump trucks are bringing that is being spread on the ground? I would anticipate that asphalt will eventually be laid.
This looks awesome. Can't wait to see it running with the stands full of people.
The Wave will be seamless in Jack Trice for the foreseeable future. - First line of the press release I'd issue if I were the AD announcing the ribbon board's completion.
I've always thought that the wave should be more embraced by Cyclones. The wave at Hilton during visiting lineups...or between visiting and Cyclone team lineups...or after lineups and before tipoff would be great. Not a silent wave, but a loud Hilton magic wave.
I like the 5 claps during the visiting intros (do they still do that? Haven't been to a game for a few years)
But yeah, a loud wave sometime during the pregame atmosphere would be cool.
Yep it is 5 claps by all then followed by "you suck" by the student section. I like the claps but "you suck" needs to go. We aren't in high school anymore.
The true "Iowa State" way to get to 30-12 would probably be:
