If you summon the strength to hate a celebrity you are basically playing their game and losing. The whole deal with celeb-u-hate culture is that people keep paying attention to Kanye, Trump, Kim K, Biebs. Its their whole marketing deal, people share what these people are up to and what they are doing, its marketing dynamite for these people.

The previously mentioned are all pretty obvious...but even mentioning their names has possibility of just that much more attention for them, which is all they're after.

Something I'll never understand is the concept of a 'reality star'. What they do seems to rarely be based in reality, and I can't recall too many who've been all that interesting*.

*disclaimer that I only see things pop up on Yahoo! so only catch snippets of any of those shows when channel surfing...the only reality shows I can stomach are ones that I know are unapologetically over the top like Finding Bigfoot.

Society is way too impressed with a lot of things that are simply not good/healthy to give attention to.
