Recruit Lists v2.0

He was mentioned as a possibility on Cyclone Report. I can't find anything super concrete that he's 'available', but I think it could be one of those things that happen quickly.

Every article says he indicated that he wanted to leave to go pro after this season and didn't after graduating. Google 'John Brown High Point transfer' and that's all there is about him. He's listed as a potential transfer on a few articles for places including Louisville since he can do grad school and have another year of eligibility. Think we'd be a great spot for him.

Sounds good to me. He looks like a beast

Well I think it's safe to say we're going to lock up a PG for 2016

I know it could just be building for the future, but Prohm's constant offering of '16 PGs makes me think that Morris has indicated to him that the chances of him being back for 16-17 are slim. Maybe not, that's just the feeling I get.

It's nice to have recruiting news again. With the spots available I hope we can land a top 15-20 class.

yep. The way Monte has talked since hoiberg left makes it sound like he's seriously considering leaving. I'm going into next year with the thought that we have 5 seniors.

But he has a great head on his shoulders, so I know he'll make a well reasoned decision.

It's no secret he wants to go pro after this year. He's going to have to show improvements in his game to warrant that but he wants to. Good thing is if he does go pro after this year it means we had a really really good year IMO

I would love to pick up Brown if that really is an option. That extra depth in the front court could really make a difference.

I'm not sure why everyone is so convinced he's gone after this year. Every knowledgeable person I have heard talk about MM does not think he projects all that highly at the next level. Most I have heard thinks he has a chance to land on a squad, but it is doubtful he will ever be a first round pick.

Not that I always put huge stock in what Randy from the DMReg says, but read his comment about Monte today. Says its a pipe dream if you think Monte is playing his senior season here. Not only will he want to get to the NBA, but its easy to see why he'd want to go out with Jameel, Georges, and Naz...his best buddies.

As long as it's a good decision to leave I'll be fine with it. Too many guys leave when they shouldn't.

Please quote where Randy said it was a 'pipe dream'. I read his article about Monte a few days ago and it didn't say that exactly. I know you are prone to hyperbole, so I'm curious if you are exaggerating now.

Anybody know anything about John Brown? Looks like he's a graduate transfer from High Point that would be immediately eligible and he averaged 19 points/game for them last year. New Assistant to Prohm Neill Berry was the assistant at High Point last year and would have obvious ties to him. Jay Bilas called him the best dunker in basketball last season for whatever that's worth.

Is he actually transferring? If he is, he would be a huge get. Guy reminded me of a bigger version of Kane as far as his approach to the game.
