No. If we didn't make the splash hire that Leath wanted then why didn't we just offer it to TJ? Maybe he works out, but this like your team drafting #1 in the NFL and picking an offensive lineman. No excitement. Add in the concerns of TJ leaving after this year and the unknown of Prohm being able to recruit high level talent to Ames....what's there to like?

It's not about excitement. It's about quality. That OL guy could end up being the best OL guy in the NFL for years to come. That'll excite people later.
I have no issue with the hire but I'm not excited either mainly because I haven't really taken the time to research any of the candidates. Of course I will look into Prohm in due time but can anybody give me a quick rundown of why I should be excited about him being the guy? I know he's been very successful at Murray State but that's about it.
Since I was completely wrong on MCdoormat being good, I'm going to predict Prohm is a complete bust.
