Saw a tweet from Chris that Leon Rice was basically out of the running. Not sure if there was no interest from his side our ours, but you can cross that name off your list.

TJ is the hire and for one reason.

Applebee's must continue their promotion and there is no other workable solution as The Otzelberger. You don't even have to modify his name to fit the burger like "Hoiburger". Applebee's doesn't even have to change the sandwich, just slap a new name on it. Done. We're worried about a smooth transition. Nothing smoother than that.

Yeah... it is unfortunate but as we have all heard it isn't like Horny is a huge supporter of ISU. They had to negotiate with him just to come back for some alumni game where most guys would be honored just to be asked to participate.

I'm not surprised you aren't impressed though... it's Otz or nobody for you.

NBA vet, check. Decent career. Couple assistant coaching jobs in NBA, interim HC at Suns. Coached 41 games, lost 29 of them, and then was replaced by Hornacek.

I'm not sold on this guy at this point.

Not on board with the Hunter news. Not a proven HC and no indication how he would fair on the recruiting trail.

This may be the other "big name". Golden State is the professional level of Hoiball. This would be very interesting. Still a risk, but at this point....who isn't.
