Again, something that has been said before (mostly people's personal preference) but him staying for this upcoming season could ultimately hurt us for the next couple years more than him leaving now and handing over a top 5 team to whoever the next coach is. I would love if he stayed one more year but it would really just be prolonging the inevitable with a much worse fall out if he were to leave next summer.

It depends on Pollard's mindset. If he is going to just promote TJ, then I want Fred here next year. If he can somehow get a homerun hire like Hornecek/Miller/etc, then yes, it would be better for Fred to leave this year. But I would lean towards keeping Fred as long as possible.

No f-ing way Lakers is going to let Byron Scott go. He's tight with Kobe. They just need better talent on that roster. I don't think Phil Jackson could have done better with that crappy roster.
