Crazy question here:
have any of your hard core stalkers that probably have CFH's cell phone number just called and asked him yet?

I thought the same thing...not so much stalkers, but it seems the local media is treading lightly. We know they have the contacts with CFH...but are they not calling? Where is CFH? Is he at his home? Is he at the complex? It seems like Travis Hines has a connection with CFH and his take on all this has been almost a "I know more than you do...and I'll hint like he's gone...without asking tough questions."

Who is to say they haven't? Maybe he's not answering those calls.

I did, but he blocked me. It was probably all those voice mails where I told him how much I loved him. (in a completely platonic way)

If he leaves in either 2015 or 2016 we are better off if he leaves now. Gives the new staff plenty of time to build the 2016 recruiting class.

This will all be interesting when ANYTHING is confirmed. How does ISU Athletics (JP) respond? Obviously he primed us last week with a "this is Fred's goal" response on the tailgate tour, but he probably recognizes he needs to help us all feel better somehow....and will have to gently "move one" without disrespecting CFH (like when Chiz/Sanderson left, he could play the "we were hosed, we tried...let's move on" type of response).

How would CFH respond? He's done nothing but good for us, but are we just a sentence at an introductory presser in Chicago or does he do a presser locally?

OH DRAMA!

I've always expected Fred to make the jump eventually but thought it would be after this year at some point.

It will be a bit disappointing if he really didn't stay any longer than the near minimum before changing jobs. It seems fairly uncommon that a coach jumps before 4-5 years somewhere.

This is how I feel too. If Hoiberg jumps to the NBA like Brad Stevens (two national championship appearances) and Billy Donovan (2 titles), the freak out would be much less. Those guys didn't have much unfinished business but there is a ton with Fred. Big difference IMO.

All I know is that I think there could be one heck of a large class action law suit against CFH for all of the lost payroll wages many, many employers have sustained due to employees sitting at their computer and phone looking for all the latest feeds, chit chat around the water cooler, etc. Seriously, WHO is getting anything done these days for pay??? Except maybe Fred???:jimlad:

Oh, agreed. I understand he's probably having his phone screened and only talking to direct family and his agent. It's just such odd timing in regards to the outpouring/support CycloneNation gave him post surgery and now he's essentially in hiding. He doesn't owe us anything, but I recognize how it's got to be tough too. I remember when I changed jobs, I had to wait a bit to share the news so both old/new job could appropriately notify folks and such...but I'm not a celebrity either.
