Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

I really don't see all the smoke others are seeing. Its the same old stuff we see every season. The only difference is there are local writers just re-writing the same stuff as before and repeating each other. It seems to me like our own fans and local media are causing the panic.

Can somebody give me any smoke coming directly from the Hoiberg family or any smoke directly from ISU (that hasn't been said the previous off-seasons)?

Perhaps you are blinded by the fire!

You realize that Jeremy sees and hears things we do not right? Him saying that is itself smoke. Pollard comments are smoke (He has said he thinks Hoiberg will some day go to the NBA and has that itch that it has always been a passion of his etc., he said yesterday definitively he will go and it is not a matter of if but when and this has always been the case since day one That was new. He was saying Fred will leave ISU so be prepared even if not today in the near future you don't say it like that unless you think their is a good chance it is gonna happen. This is the one question you know you are going to be asked and it was planned.

Plus the Bulls smoke and the smoke he was talked too about this month's ago. Just way too much for it to at least not be a very realistic possibility. Nothing in the past has been like this.

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

Below are a few of the comments I made on a restricted portion of the site 24-48 hours ago, posting here as people seem to be really delusional and in denial...

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

If the Bulls had Scott Brooks I'd totally get firing him and going after Hoiberg. But Chasing off Thibodeau is nuts. Bet he ends up at NO (Williams fired cause he wasn't good enough defensively).

Bulls supposedly interested in Alvin Gentry as well.

I have no idea who Jeremy's sources are or what they're saying.

Pollards comments aren't smoke. He's been saying that same stuff since day 1.

Bulls smoke is media as well. In fact, a Chicago radio show was quoting the DM rag a couple days ago. Thats reliable.

Do I think its a possibility? Sure.
Do I think he leaves this summer? No.

What about the fact that CW even said he thinks Hoiberg is back next year. Is that smoke that Fred might be staying? I bet if CW said he thinks Fred is leaving, you'd be all over it saying there's more smoke coming from CW.

The only fact that really matters is that it's May 13, 2015, and Hoiberg has not definitively said that he will be back to coach the Cyclones for the 2015-2016 season.

Has anyone even bothered to just tweet the question to Fred? Maybe he would answer if someone asked him?

Has he announced every off season that he was coming back the following year?

I can't remember Fred ever coming out and saying "attention ISU, I'll be back next year..."

Actually somebody did ask him if he'll be back and Fred did say "planning on it."

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

Some people need to get outside today to see the sun and get fresh air. Come out of your parents basements long enough to enjoy a minute or two of life.

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

And an FYI, I have zero financial interest in CF or it's page views;)

What if we're stuck at work in front of a computer screen with nothing to do besides be on CF?
And I don't want to go outside. Its like 48 degrees along the lake in Chicago.

Re: BLUM: The Mayor's dilemma

Sort of looks that way after the above post. Who would've thought Paul Rhoads would outlast Fred Hoiberg.

I'm not sure I would say Rhoads is outlasting Hoiberg. Rhoads is trying to keep his head above water, ISU fans think Hoiberg can walk on water.

You do understand what he meant, don't you?
