JTS construction webcam?

The big thing with a new pressbox (similar to K-State, Texas Tech, Minnesota, etc.) isn't really the press space, but the Athletic Director's ability to sell more premium space (suites, club seats, loge boxes, etc.) to corporations. Product on the field or not, a business having a presence like that in a venue where 61,000 potential customers are in a confined space can be a very good business decision, and in return, a money-maker for a university, if the commitment is available up front.

Cadillac didn't build their new endzone club at KU because of the product on the field, but rather, to get eyeballs from the 20k in the stadium. Down the road from Lawrence, K-State built their new West Stadium Center (suites, club seats, and press row) because they know they only have a few years left of Snyder and needed to find as many revenue sources as possible to sustain success when he is no longer coaching. Donors lined up once the plan was in place and John Currie began fundraising.

Then you should be stoked because we now have the Jack Trice Club and already have suites lining half the stadium. It's already there and there's more supply than demand.

So back to the webcam.....

Looks like they are working on the scoreboard, maybe preparing the I-State logo speaker cover area?

I very much am, but I'm not going to be quiet about what I think the next phase could be because I love talking about college/pro athletic facilities. Its just a hobby of mine.

walkway from end zone club into bleachers is being worked on as well as scoreboard sides

I agree it's the next move after this whole end zone thing but it's obvious why it was done the way it was.

Is this true now? I know a few years ago the Jack Trice Club was sold out and Jaime gave up his suite to a paying customer. I'm curious how much the on field performance has eaten into the premium seating.

Pretty sure even after our Liberty Bowl season it wasn't sold out, and after the past two seasons I'd imagine it's not getting better.

Maybe the Jack Trice Club reinvigorates interest.

Regardless for the argument you are going for....have you seen the Cadilac club? Good god I'm glad ISU doesnt have one of those. I was at the game last year and saw the stack of 3 to 4 leather covered bleachers. That think looked hideous like our old SEZ bleachers.

With all due respect, if anyone has a problem with any of these major upgrades... You're an idiot and you can go **** yourself.

Nothing wrong with people dreaming of the next step after these upgrades. They aren't hurting anything. The new south endzone project is awesome, and could be a catalyst for future upgrades and program momentum.

Dreaming about future ones is different than complaining/hating on current ones.

Maybe we could get the press box sponsored and have a big sign that says "Des Moines Register Press Box!" :jimlad:

Multiple people on the ribbon board. You can go back and look, I'm not going to hold your hand through it.

Ugh, thats frustrating. Messageboards are for opinions though... and I'm not going to be one to rip someone for having an unpopular opinion.

The ribbon boards will be an incredible addition to the stadium. The stats they will show will do a good job of informing fans of the progress of the game, in addition to the overall "life" the graphics add to the stadium. This will be a nice upgrade for the entire venue and not just the south end.
