JTS construction webcam?

I about got in an accident yesterday marveling at the stadium. Yeah, it's that impressive! I can't wait for football season! ..yes I am serious
I sat at the intersection of University and 16th last week looking back at the construction. Even when someone honked at me to make my right turn, I didn't move right away.

Does anybody know if Jamie Pollard/ISU were planning on putting up a 24/7 webcam during the construction going on at Jack Trice?

Haven't heard a thing. Heard they're putting up a web cam at the Campanile for viewing drunks passing out under it on saturday nights

Took this Saturday AM

Interesting that the bleachers are all Cardinal so far in that upper corner. I thought they would alternate Cardinal/Gold like the rest of the stadium. It looks like the upper deck will end up being all Cardinal? I assume they wouldn't alternate just between the corners. They even showed the alternating colors in the new virtual venue demo: http://jacktricestadium.io-media.com/?camefrom=EMCL_605785_26396872
Yeah, I don't really understand this. Seems trivial, but they've done such a great job with all of the architecture- the steel, concrete, and new building all blend in very well. For the first time in awhile, a JTS project didn't have the look of some rushed, slapped together effort. Not sure why they didn't carry the bleacher pattern around the new balcony corners, like the renderings indicated.

So why were they not able to remove those small sections on the corners of the old upper deck and make them blend in with the new upper deck? Combining Sections J with K and S with R seem like a no brainier to me.

Those seats will stay as the visiting team section. You can sell more season tickets this way.

Edit: Not sure about S&R though.

I can't make out a wall in the upper deck from the pictures, so it seems like that one is going away. The lower level seems like it is still there, but I guess I'm just a guy on the internet looking at pictures from a couple hundred feet away.

Did they do precast back then? If not, in order to do what you are asking they would have to jackhammer out those sections. From a structural standpoint that would be a very bad idea.
If they did precast then they would have had to remove the existing sections. Quite a bit of additional expense for no gain.

Looking at this how do they alternate color of sections in the corner? Do you alternate K,L,M&N and ignore that they don't match up with 17, 18 & 19 or do you keep K&L the same color and then alternate M&N?

I would imagine the fact that L has no partner in the bottom deck probably has something to do with why we aren't seeing the alternating pattern continue in the SEZ.

From looking at the image of the construction, it doesn't look like there is a wall anymore south of section J.

Yes, and I was really surprised when that was removed. Like I said I wasn't there when it was constructed so I don't know how that was attached to the rest of the structure. If it was all precast I still don't believe it would be economically feasible to remove the existing thin section.

I obviously do not post very often, but I really like reading what everyone has to say. What if the lower bleacher seats (not the club seats) are gold since the upper seats may all be cardinal/red?
