Ha he should have been fired a long time ago, but if you didn't fire him then, don't see how he deserves it after this season. Good organizations value process over results, this is the exact opposite of that.

Nice one OKC....the reigning NBA MVP is out most of the year, you've had other injuries and you ALMOST made the playoffs. Very surprised to see this.

Why is it a "monster" job? A lot of the national talk I've heard says that both Durant and Westbrook are probably gone the next two years.

You're coaching two of the five best guys in the league. If you win a title next year, I think Durant stays, get another one the following year and you'll probably keep Westbrook too.

Bill Simmons@BillSimmons
Hearing OKC wants Billy Donovan or Kevin Ollie... and if they can't get either one, they might wait to see if Bulls/Thibs self-destructs.

I think both of those guys could be good NBA coaches, but taking a job where anything less than a title in your first year in a failure is a tough move. If things go badly the next two years, OKC is just a southern version of the Bucks or Pacers. I do think the Thunder could easily have a Golden State type of regular season next year where they win 67+ games and dominate from start to finish. Brooks, like Jackson, did a lot of stupid **** that is pretty easily correctable. Kerr broke up the Warriors terrible bench units, and if whoever takes the OKC job just starts staggering when Durant and Westbrook sit more often, that's already an improvement. Plus it would be very difficult to come up with worse offensive sets than what the Thunder have ran at the end of playoff games the last few years.

3 years ago I thought he was in the 5-10 range of coaches. Ever since his finals appearance they've had bad luck with injuries. Theres Playoff team coaches that he's better than (Casey, Wittman).hes probably in the 15 range for coaches. Orlando will go after him I bet.

Its very risky because Durant and Westbrook can opt out soon, if they screw up the hire this time both should leave. Ollie will flop in the NBA. He won a title with Calhouns players. He's overrated as a coach. Donovan would be the better candirate.

Brooks had his shots but he was a victim of the OKC front office opting to keep Westbrook instead of Harden. Westbrook is a great player but he seems a lot more concerned about his numbers than the guys around him. That's not what you want in a superstar, especially a PG.

Let the Self rumors commence! Bad timing for speculation with Diallo still not committed.

Self would be a good fit, but poor 2co:
