Recruit Lists v2.0

That's what they all say this far out. Pretty sure Diallo and RV pushed their commitments back multiple times, so I wouldn't put a lot of stock into that as a firm date. At least with Grayer's involvement, I have a feeling we'll know where we stand all along.

The odds of us pulling him out of Michigan with MSU and Mich both prioritizing him are pretty slim, IMO.

Agree with this. Michigan's to lose

So many insiders here....

I think it has more to do with the level of competition and where the recruit(s) are from. Pulling top level kids out of Michigan is insanely difficult. We were fortunate to get Morris, but he's the exception. Think about it, if you were a top level recruit from MI and you have offers from both in-state schools, you would be a heavy lean to stay in-state.

This kid is always talking to our guys over twitter and other social media. We also have the flint connection with Monte. It will be interesting how this pans out with Bridges

Well he did say his top schools in order and they were MSU, Michigan, ISU, Kentucky, Louisville. He went on to say he loves the idea of playing where his friends and family can see him play and he lives 45 minutes from East Lansing. Doesn't take an insider to figure out he is MSU or Michigan's to lose at this point. Monte was too, a lot can happen and we could get him but we are not the favorite.

Yeah, if either Michigan school wanted Morris, he wouldn't be at ISU. No way the Michigan schools let Bridges go out of state.

When I read the article I thought it sounded like that the writer was making a point that he said them in that order, not that he said my top 5 in order are...

Except that Michigan did want Monte...but other than that.

That said, Bridges is the type of talent that doesn't have to worry about scholarship numbers. MSU or UM will have room for him.

Players almost never put the schools in order so I'm inclined to be with you on this. I didn't read it though.

They wanted Derrick Walton and Monte Morris but the first to commit was the only one they'd take. Walton committed (like 11 minutes) before Monte so Michigan didn't want Monte anymore so they let him leave the state.

Yeah, just a matter of luck he didn't go to Michigan. He actually called them to commit but Taylor had committed a few minutes before. That's the type of luck we'll need to get Bridges out of Michigan.

The only negative about that actually happening with Bridges is that he is a top 10 kid that Michigan or Sparty will hold a spot for no matter what. There will not be an ultimatum for a kid with his talent.

His quote on family only being 45 mins from East Lansing and deciding in September points to staying at home. Crazier things have happened though.

Relevant section... I suppose it could be read that way. Either way he clearly indicates MSU is the front Runner at the end. Hence I think the "Msu's to lose comment" being valid at this point:

As for his future, Bridges currently has a top five. He listed them, in order, as Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa, Kentucky and Louisville.

“I’m open to everybody right now,â€￾ he said, adding that he expects to make a decision by September.

Who has recruited him the hardest?

“Michigan State,â€￾ he said.

But asked if that’s the frontrunner, he noted, “It’s only 45 minutes away from my house, so …â€￾

That thought may have been influenced by his surroundings, as a host of family members were in attendance for a rare chance to see him play.

“It’s great to be back,â€￾ Bridges said. “I miss home so much. My mom, my family, my friends. It’s great to be back playing in front of them.â€￾

Ya for a HS kid wanting to be close to home for College can change to wanting to move as far away as possible for College pretty quickly.

What a horribly written story. So much random speculation (That thought may have been influenced by his surroundings). This guy is reading minds? And then, yes, it is really unclear if Bridges was ranking the schools or simply listing five.
