Chieck Diallo rumors

Sounds like the KU team took that same mentality of "if we can win the regular season then we are awesome" into the tourney. KU still treats beating the Big12 as the measuring stick for their season, no matter the results of the rest of the games. Don't be KU.

When I read this I couldn't help hearing it in Rob Lowe's voice.

They went out thinking they were hot **** after winning the Big 12, being ranked #9, and getting a 3 seed.

Not because they beat Kansas 2 out of 3 times.

Don't get me wrong - these guys had your number. But that was the last thing on their minds the days heading into this game.

You don't think ISU went out against UAB and played like they thought they were awesome enough to win with less than max effort and that part of the reason they might have felt that way was that they beat Kansas two of three during the season? I read the in-game thread. It sounded to me like a LOT of ISU fans felt that ISU didn't put it all out there that day.

Who the hell knows what was going on with the team that day. Few, if any, on this board know. I guarantee you a KU troll has NO idea what was going on. Of course you would think it is all about KU. It always is, right?

We don't care about KU. Maybe they'll earn some respect when they win a game. 1 out of 4 aint cutting it.

FWIW, everything I've heard within the team is saying we are completely out. Kansas and Kentucky are essentially the final two.

Against Cyclone07 what the team was thinking when they played UAB. He apparently knows what the team is thinking about their chances to land Diallo.

Makes complete sense with Hoiberg out and can't make the in home visit that "sources" are saying after the Jordan Brand. Doubt Micah knows Diallo too well. It's a bad deal but it made sense why he kept held out from committing for so long.

this has been known for some time.... too bad we have to read the stupid tweets from the recruiting experts or more than likely the Diallo camp saying he's still considering all 5 on his list with no favorite. Yeah, right.... What is gained by this? As dumb as it sounds, it feels like being used.

Huh? Not sure I'm following your point here. Why did it make sense he held out for so long? What if you knew 3 months ago that it was a strong possibility he and Yakwe would come together to ISU (before the grad asst. snag)? Meaning, he wasn't worried about who KU and UK had coming back then. Man, I just want the Diallo thread, plus Williams and whomever else we lose out on with Matt gone, to be over.

Yes, it does sound dumb. He may be doing just that. It's a big choice for a kid to make, under tremendous pressure from all sides.

If we are out it is better to know now. What I didn't like about the Barnes and Vaughn decisions was them stringing the Coaches along.

Good luck to Chieck he is going to be a stud.

I know we're out this one but the RV decision should show us that it isn't over until the announcement for the next big time recruit that we make a list for.

Is it so hard to understand that "and Iowa State’s Fred Holberg after the Jordan Brand Classic on April 17," means that the Jordan Brand Classic game is on April 17th and that the visit will be sometime AFTER that? Maybe Hoiberg sends an assistant coach to meet Diallo. From what I have read, most open heart surgery patients are out of the hospital after 5-7 days. Maybe Hoiberg meets with him after that.

Do you really think CFH will be able to fly a week post op? Seriously? This isn't a carpal tunnel release. CFH will not be meeting him face to face, perhaps an assistant, I have no idea, but not CFH.
