You have to think Paul is gone if he doesn't make a bowl game, right? Hard to believe one more losing season would mean that the program has had one winning season in the last decade.

The facilities thing isn't an issue any more. Sure there will always be UT's and A&M's with their obscene shrines...but the new JT and the training facilities will pass the eye test of any recruit and also help get the job done immediately.

5 wins and he stays. Mark it down. It would be a sign of progress. Sad but true. Maybe even four wins if he can somehow topple someone like OU or Baylor.
How about three or four wins? Does he get another year? Say we beat UNI, Iowa and KU? Maybe TT. Would he stay or would he go? You hold the purse strings.

Paul isnt going anywhere soon the better u get use to it the better off you will be. U people are sure kidding yourself.

That or get to five wins and compete for a bowl game in the final game or two of the season.

Even if the team reaches just four wins, the improvement better show it's on the upswing towards the end of the season.

This stuff is why he should have been gone last year IMO. Next year we get 5 wins then he stays, and for what, to barely make a bowl game. I just don't see us getting much better than a 4-5 and occasional bowl team under him. So why drag it out, I know the likelihood that we do a Baylor turnaround isn't good, but can we at least pretend to try. It should be this difficult to put together a team that can consistently get to 8 wins and, most importantly, be competitive in all our games.

Disagree, another 2 win year and all the luster will be gone along with a half empty stadium. ISU can afford the buyout.

Yeah, we done that soooo often.

This is what I think.

3 or fewer wins = fired
4 wins = probably fired but wouldn't be shocking if he got one more year
5 wins = gets one more year
6 wins = safe
7 or more wins = contract extension

yes, yes, yes, yes, no

I would agree if he said 5/6 wins

With the facility upgrades and fan support at all time highs, I feel the team should average 5 wins or more. That's not unrealistic. We were headed that way and then...

We stopped winning the 'should win' games on the schedule and that's what got us in the 6-7 win range when CPR started.

Would be pretty surprised if he stays with 4 wins or less. He can get away with 5 wins if he keeps people coming to the game. I personally think he needs 6 regular season wins and a good bowl showing. Not necessarily a bowl win, just a display at the very least on par with what they looked like during the regular season.

If he stays with less than 7 wins than 2016 will be more like a 7 or 8 win expectation, IMO.
