Jeremy Clarkson dropped from Top Gear

Terrible news. Those three make the best combo. I really hope all three leave and start something new.

sounds like he should be kicked off. Guy must be a complete psycho. I mean it was an "unprovoked" attack!

HAHA, unprovoked, I bet that's exactly how it went down. Producer just sitting there, minding his own business and Jeremy attacked him for no reason. I bet that's exactly how it went down.

I can't believe the number of people defending Clarkson. You shouldn't expect to keep your job if you punch your boss in the face. That is a pretty simple thing not to do.

I suspect they'll go to ITV (second largest broadcaster) and make a similar show on there.

I'd just like to know the real story. Unprovoked sounds like a bit of a stretch to me. I'm not defending what he did, but the guy is the star of the show, how un-provoking was the producer really being?

I agree with you though, no one should expect to punch their boss and still be employed with that company.

Supposedly he attacked him because there was no hot food. I don't know, I am not going to condone Jeremy's behavior, but I also find him hilarious. Those three make that show work. I am sure that they end up on another network.

A guy who, on air, is pretty likable and extremely popular against "the man". I could see where it'd be pretty easy to side with him if you're determined to take a side. The need to take a side when you've only heard the BBC's version of the story is where they lose me.

I don't really care what he did or whether he deserved to be fired, it'll still be a big loss for BBC. Without him, the show will be just like any other show that loses its main character/host (think NewsRadio). They'll have one or two seasons with continuously falling ratings before going away completely.

I wouldn't even limit their opportunities to British broadcasters. I'm sure there are plenty of US broadcasters that'd be interested in bringing them on. AMC has some time slots available right now.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It sucks that the show is more or less over now but in this day and age you can't expect to keep your job if you deck a guy at work.

It's not like it's the first person he has punched or the first time he has embarrassed BBC and thumbed his nose at them. The guy has gotten away with being an ***-hat because he's popular but he has run out of get out of jail free cards.
