Whar Edozie?

All I ask from this game — (other than joy of watching our team) — advance with no anxiety.

UAB has no wins vs. a tournament team in 2014-15. Closest is a win over ODU. Next-best performance is probably a 12-point loss to 11th seed UCLA at a neutral site.

Iowa State has 14 RPI wins that are better than UAB's second-best RPI win (Louisiana Tech, which UAB swept).

UAB lost to five sub-200 RPI teams, is 203rd in FG% and 207th in points allowed.

UAB caught a break in a one-bid league with balance at the top, because its conference tournament was played in Birmingham.

If we lose this one, no justification is warranted. Honestly, it'd be worse than the notorious 2001 upset, because there was cause for concern that year — ISU doesn't enter this tournament stumbling.

Conference. Usa was pretty good this year for its member to be a 14 seed. This is a good matchup for Iowa St. Big upsets usually happens with senior led teams. I was more concerned as a fan last year. Also the fact that UAB doesn't dictate tempo well should lead to a comfortable win. As everyone knows, its a one and done deal so if a Texas tech performance happens it could be a sad day.

I can see either team by 5 or something. This ISU team has tended to look poor when there's a lot of hype, so we'll see if they just simply go out and play basketball.

If they resort to looking good vs. making necessary plays, could be an interesting afternoon.

Wow, worst night's sleep ever, I was like an eight year old on Christmas Eve

Survive and advance. There are no style points in the tournament. With that said, my nerves could use a good, comfortable lead throughout.
