Chris Babb story!

So last night the Sioux Falls Skyforce played the Maine Redclaws. This was my chance to finally see Chris Babb play again since I was never able to make it to a game while he played at Iowa State. Of course I wore my favorite ISU jacket and I was lucky enough to sit front row by the visitor's bench. Right away during warm-ups, he picked me out of the crowd, pointed at me and gave me a thumbs up with a big smile. That was enough to make my night, but it was about to get better. At the end of the game I was hoping to asking him for a picture, but before I could move he walked right up to me and started talking to me and I was able to get a picture with him. He was a really cool guy and very nice! I went from a 23 year old man to 5 year old girl on Christmas morning! It made my night and makes me respect the guy even more! Thought this would be a fun story to share with everyone.
 
Babb is a stud. I really wish we had him. The defensive stopper that can lock-in on the best player isn't something we will see often with Hoiball.

Babb is a cool guy. After his senior night game I saw his dad at Hilton and thanked him for letting Chris come to Ames. He said Chris couldn't be happier to be a Cyclone.
 
But did you get any coupons for BBQ at his dad's restaurant? That would have really pushed over the edge. :smile:
 
Didn't happen without seeing the picture proof.

But seriously that is an awesome story. Such a great guy and Cyclone.
 
Can you share a pic? What a great night- Babb is one of my all-time favorites. I hope I get to see him play again in person at some point.
 
That's awesome. I remember seeing him out with the team a few times when he was in Ames and he was always the most popular guy there.

Imma just go ahead and say it - Chris is hot. And being genuinely nice and very talented? Drool.

I was standing in line in AJ Liquors buying some beer and Babb was in front of me. He pointed at a case of Summer Shandy and said "Ever have that stuff? It's pretty good." And I said, "Yes, I have had it. It is good. Nice Stroke." He said, "You outta see my back hand." And I said, "I would like to."
