Did you know that with one more win here in April, the Chicago Cubs will be only the second team in major league history to win 10,000 games? The San Fransisco Giants is the only other team that has won more. I'm really surprised the Yankees have not accomplished this already?

I've watched the Cubs long enough to know that playing into October will probably once again be tough for them, but it's going to be a fun ride this summer. They are a very entertaining team to watch this year. I still think their pitching is a bit weak, but hopefully the offense and defense will make up for it.

Thius proves that winning may not get you the big one. How many have the Cubs lost? 9000?

I heard an urban legend yesterday that the Cubs have actually won a World Series or been to one for that matter. What century could of that happened in? Face it the Cubs have always sucked and will continue to.

This is the most annoying thing to listen to. Just because they haven't won the series in 100 years means they won't ever. People don't even look at the team, they just say they won't they are the Cubs. Does that make anyone else mad. My roommate does it all the time. grrr.... Go Cubs!

Hey look at the bright side at least they have won a World Series. How many teams can't even claim that?

It really is weird that they haven't won it for so long. I mean that just shows they have had some truly inept management, especially with the cash they can throw around.

Says the Met fan whose team just got SMOKED by the Cubs.

Would they be inept or pretty damn smart? Hmmm. We can continue to not spend a lot of money on our team and still fill the seats. That equals profit.

Am I happy that was the strategy for years? HECK NO.

Does it mean the management was inept. HECK NO.

Does it mean the management didn't care about the fans. PROBABLY.

Wow the lovable losers do have some fans. If only the organization had any passion like its fans maybe they could actually do something. I think they need to hire Pollard to be the GM. I'd be excited too that u just beat the Mets 2 in a row now that is impressive.

If the Cubbies keep hitting the way they are right now, they won't need one more starter. They are on pace to score over 1000 runs. Yes, its only 20 games into the season, but you can't knock the fact that they have one of the more potent offenses in the entire league. Oh, and by the way, they have scored these 44 runs in the last five games WITHOUT Soriano. Things are lookin great on the Northside.

True, but the schedule has been fairly easy so far. The Cardinals and Brewers are playing good ball and will slow down our numbers.

I don't think Reed Johnson, Ronny Cedeno and Ryan Theriot will keep up the .330+ batting averages they have going for very long, but it sure is fun to watch for now.
