Fred pointed out that the disadvantage is countered by the advantage of having 3 solid practice days* between Monday and Saturday so you can actually work on ironing things out rather than just having a couple of practices to rush in the game plan for the next opponent.
*Teams have to have a day off each week per NCAA.

Agreed that it is tough but all the top three Big 12 teams have to deal with it. KU has four Big Monday games with 2 on the road (in back to back weeks) as well.
