I was disappointed that Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy missed the cut, but it's just a matter of time for them. Receivers in particular are going to have to be patient. We're just now starting to see guys who played in the pass heavy era becoming eligible (Torry Holt, Harrison, Isaac Bruce, TO next year, Hines Ward and Randy Moss in a couple years), and there are going to be some good debates when sifting through the stats to determine who was the best of the best.
I hope Edgerrin James gets a fair shake, too. If Jerome Bettis is a Hall of Famer then so is Edge. Tremendous runner and receiver out of the backfield, and he was the closer on a lot of good early 2000s Indy teams.

A Greatest Show on Turf reunion in Canton, eh? I think Marshall Faulk already made it in several years back. Unless we're talking Kevin Faulk. It's a compelling case but I don't think he'll have the votes.
Agreed. And if any receiver was going to leapfrog Harrison, Holt and Bruce it would be Terrell Owens. Say what you will about his behavior; that guy was an absolute beast on the field.
"Junior Seau headlines HOF class" - May he rest in peace but IMHO he is one of the most overrated players to ever play in the NFL. He and Troy Polamalu are similar in that they are usually out of position to try and make that one spectacular play. People like them because they are high energy but they didn't/don't do their job as often as a lot of people think.
Seau was criticized fairly often for freelancing within the defensive scheme. But when he or Polamalu guessed right, the plays they made swung entire games in their respective teams' favor. And they guessed right often enough that their coaches allowed them that freedom. Trusting their instincts to make big plays was part of what made them great. And if it resulted in an occasional blown assignment, so be it. The rewards were typically worth it.
As a Broncos fan, I was bummed Terrell Davis will have to wait. Injuries robbed him of a long career but when you look at his three prime years, no other running back in NFL history can match his numbers.

My only problem is with this. It wasn't/isn't occasionally. I know a lot disagree but I don't think Seau is HOF worthy and certainly not a 1st ballot.
He should be but the media hates him. Not sure exactly who the voters are for this though.
