Why do the Iowa sports radio hosts think that their listeners want to hear NFL news first when the state of Iowa has three ranked teams in the top 25 for the first time in history. I understand NFL is king, but if I wanted to hear bout NFL I would turn it to an ESPN radio station. But here we are Murph/Andy show going with a 30 minute segment to lead off about the NFL. Haven't mentioned either Iowa or Iowa State game once

This is why very few shows locally have stuck around for long. Know your target audience. Not every Iowan has an NFL team to root for. Let the NFL have its segment, okay, but to lead off with it is just dumb when this weekend was arguably one of the biggest in state history.

I agree talk the Packer game from 3:30 to 4:00. but really they can talk anything they want because there is no competition, hell Marty and Miller wont hit the air til 3 when their show starts

Worked for me actually. I was in a meeting until 2:30 when they hit on ISU.

Why would they be so stupid to go against Murph n Andy?

I thought the same thing... if i were them i would have only tried to directly compete in the 4-6 time frame. If you are not going to start at the same time as Murph and Andy, are you really even competing? i doubt most listeners will switch in the middle of M&A. Anyways, i'm hoping Marty and Miller have podcasts otherwise i doubt i'll ever end up listening to their show.

Well I tend to agree, whoever was complaining to them of twitter looked stupid....

Anyone have an update on Marty & Miller's time slot and station? I can only listen to KXnO for so long after 4pm.

I have a relatively short commute - maybe 12-15 minutes. Can't stand the rush so I listen to Mike & Mike in the AM, which is usually pretty good.

So far, the few chances I've had to actually HEAR Heather's show on KXNO (not commercials, weather or traffic - usually over the 5:00 break) it's been recaps of the Bachelor.

I can't stand that garbage on TV, sure as hell don't need a recap on sports radio

Which also brings me to another little bone to pick. I have a seminar on Thursdays at 6:30. So it's perfect that I get to hear the Cyclone Fanatic show (great job CW and Blum, btw). But when I get out at about 7:30 - radio is still on KXNO to that freaking "Hey Tana" or whatever the hell it's called. Did KXNO get bought out by Oprah or something, and is slowly getting converted over?

What is the lineup going to end up being when all is said and done (as far as we know).

I can't stand Marty with a passion (I do like Kenny, however) - but not sure I'll have much of a choice if I want sports talk - and hopefully local and not Boston.

Was driving home last night and flipping around what I thought the channels are, but wasn't able to make much out and signal strength sucked on a few of them.

Yeah it's definitely no longer on 1350am. Didn't know if I was out of the loop or if they're still trying to get their ducks in a row. Don't want to be missing out on some big CIML high school basketball talk haha.

I like Murph and Andy, but the Hey Tana segment (and her show later on) has GOT to go. I instantly turn it off.

I kind of like the new afternoon host. She stays on topic pretty well, sounds very professional like a national host would but more of a local instead of a carpetbagger. Will this M&M show even stream?

Murph & Andy are ok but a little too middle of the road for me, I tune into this stuff because I'm a fanatic.
